I will probably play both a lot. I am having a great time on Dust and Bungie is an amazing developer, so in either case it is a win win. Probably spend 75% Dust 25% Destiny. |

I need to see some gameplay from Destiny before I can make an informed decision. It's nice to see other companies making MMO FPS. Hopefully competition will push CCP to make this game better. |

Even after that trailer, we still don't know a lot about Destiny.
It looks good so far, and I imagine I'll play it a lot, but more than Dust? It's hard to say at this point. |

how should i know. nothing is known about this game. i remember reading one of the first halo dev interviews (before MS bought bungie), it spoke of destroyable terrain, a open ringworld, non linear gameplay .. whatever.

Bungie themselves stated that Destiny was not going to be an MMO, although it will involve a heavy multiplayer component.
The video I saw on it compared it to something like Journey, where people can drop in and out of a game seamlessly, but it's not an MMO.

They are not calling it an "MMO" because they are just trying to make it seem like they are doing something new, it is a ploy.
Game looks cool though. |

No gameplay seen yet makes me a bit skeptical of Destiny. It's a great concept, and if applied well could work amazingly. However, it seems a bit too good to be true. |

While agreed with ice tiger. If the whispers around people who are the team + the shear volumes of money being thrown at the project are true im expecting somthing quite good. Or the next event that causes another .com crash |

Whether it's as successful as the Halo series is yet to be justified, but if there is one thing good for us Dusters that will come out of this, it's that CCP will have some stiff competition ahead, and that not only new features will be needed to keep our interest, but also the possibility of moving Dust to Unreal Engine 4 will probably be looked at MUCH closer.
If there's anything Bungie are good at, it's making a game look beautiful and creating some FIERCE multiplayer. Yep, it's an exciting project either way. |

As long as both games live up to their potential, then I'll be playing both.
Destiny looks really cool though. They apparently started production on Destiny back in 2009, and now have the entire Bungie team (360 people) working on it. Jason Jones (responsible for pretty much everything that Halo is) is the lead designer and has been rumored to have been working on Destiny/the idea since just after Halo 2. One of the guys from IGN described it as a combination of Halo (general gameplay), Borderlands (RPG/Loot elements), and Planetside (persistent world stuff). Sounds like a dream game if true. Also, I think it could be considered an MMO. I think the idea is that you'll have other players in your "world" and then you can choose to go solo, or team up and do raids, dungeons, bosses, co-op missions, etc.
Anyway, Dust should have all the massive battles, corp stuff and planetary control, while Destiny should have a more focused story, with strong competitive multiplayer and co-op. Really no reason to skip on either (besides not enough time/money). |

DUST, cause it's FREE. How much are ps4 games gonna coast? Probably 100.00 then all the DLCs. I won't even get a ps4 until a year or 2 after cause it's probably gonna coast a **** load of money out the gate. So ima stay on the ps3 with my favorite game on the world DUST514. Yeah it's taking a while for the full game to come out, but i rather ccp take their time and get it right, then all those other FPS half assin it and not pushing the limits
