Not possible to "bunny hop" in this game. You can jump a few times. That is it. Because of stamina you cannot move by only jumping.
That is what bunnies do to get from place to place. They only jump. You can't really do that in this game. Go ahead and try it. Try to move around the map in a game of ambush using only the jump button. Probably the least effective way to move possible.
But I would like to see some different jump options. If there was a dive to the side option (that had a cool down timer and used a lot of stamina, but I guess that would basically be indroducing "prone" to the game) and a power slide at the end of a run option that could be at least more realistic.
Cause yeah, if you were taking fire and you wanted to shake off your enemy's aim the last thing you would do is jump up in the air as high as possible. That would just make you more of a target. And even does vs. players who have decent aim and good reflexes, right now, today, in Dust.

To be honest i though you couldnt bunny hop either but i resently saw someone do it and decided to try to do it myself and as it turns out you can just lose all stamina and you can do a very small hop repeatedly with out tiring out.

Both ideas could work, and it wouldn't have to introduce "prone" into the game if at the end of the animation it put you in either a crouched or standing position. So a character would jump normally if running/sprinting forward, but would make a dive roll (using up more stamina) if you strafed left/right and pushed jump, and come up standing at the end of the animation. A character pushing triangle while sprinting would then make a power slide, and come up in a crouched position.
I do agree with the OP, though. Aiming down the scope of my sniper rifle and still be able jump makes me feel foolish. I'd like it if they replaced the X for jump with X for "paint target" while ADS. But that's really another post altogether. |

i think it's kind of ridiculous to have pin point accuracy while jumping around like a monkey. |
