When I am hacking a point/cru/anything really and some jerkwad blue come up behind me and fires a round or 5 into me making me think I'm under attack so I stop my hack only for them to steal it!!

Depends on WHAT you are hacking. Enemy CRU when the other team is almost cloned out in Skrim match? That will prolly get u shot in the back by ur own teammate. |

Hack one CRU or get 10+ Kills from people trying to spawn in, think about it. |

I hate when we're in the perfect position to spawn trap and some blue guy hacks the CRU. Better plan is to kill as many as you can until they understand to stop spawning there and then hack for points.
In your case, that person was point hungry. I've done it about 2 times. *pewpew...hack* yeah, you get the sloppy second assist lol |

I hack it on purpose just to **** of my teammates, I know that when I get screwed over from spawning at the CRU only to get killed before I even open my eyes is frustrating, I don't care if we win or not or if you want to farm your KD and WP. I'm hacking that CRU!!
Drop uplinks are free game though.

Agreed, however I have gotten better at not reacting to these things and just continue hacking.
It is a douche move for sure though. |

I noticed the same issue.
I for one would rather make sure we win. Too often victory has been snatched away because someone wants that extra 0.01 k/d point.
I just make it a habit of staring at my shields while hacking. I only stop if that moves. Easy fix. ;)
Oh and I honestly miss kittens in the chat room.... :'( |

Yup exactly.
There's a time and a place for taking advantage of a CRU like that, only if the enemy is losing, doesn't have any numbers or very few and the enemy is actively spawning at the CRU. If those conditions are met I see no point in not farming it, deplete their clones, send them into rage, and get some warpoints. I have no pity for players who spawn on camped CRUs and expect not to die, it's pretty obvious when a CRU is being camped.. you see red dots light up around it and you can see the units on the map that aren't blue by the CRU.
Being spawn killed like that is not difficult to avoid and if an enemy is dumb enough to repeatedly spawn into death there then take advantage of it and clone them. It's very irritating when we hold all the letters and we're having a ton of action at the CRU, then some blue dot runs up and hacks it.. then what happens? We all meet up at the redline to have a snorefest.
But when it comes to anything else like you say, even hacking a blaster installation... yeah, I would find that annoying as well and wouldn't defend that. |

Spawn camping is boring, whichever side you're on. I prefer actually playing the game to farming easy kills. It's only because of poor game design that it's even possible. |

While spawn camping may be a valid tactic, it is boring and somewhat classless. If you're on my team farming one I'll hack it in a heartbeat.
Now, what's more annoying is when I'm about to blow up a turret and some random blue dot hacks it. We do not need those fracking turrets, they will just get turned on us later. Better destroy 'em now and rely more on infantry combat. |

So they're on redline, whole map is ours and we've got full shields on our MCC, while they're left with the armor only. 80 clones on their side. One of them hacks the CRU and they start spawning there.
You can hack the CRU and take the 50 points or farm their clones in hopes of earlier match ending (with multiplied WPs). But yeah, feel free to be a **** and make us sit here 10 minutes more than necessary.
It's especially funny when guys with 0/N score do it. Yeah, so you have not fought your way here, but you will surely snatch the hack. Great effort, scrub.
If they're redlined -- cut them some slack! Make it a learning experience, don't hack immediately. |

these trolls here saying they hack CRU's are sad. it's silly to think the -only- reason to camp a CRU is to pad stats.
clone the enemy? or at the very least, prevent a boring redline where the enemy dies a lot anyway, only now they do it in their "safe zone"?
anyway, back on topic, I think it's pointless to trick someone just to steal the hack. getting the W takes presidence over my personal WP/SP gain.
that said, I once used the tactic to retake control of a turret I jumped out of to kill someone, lol. but i've never shot someone to stop a hack on anything other than a CRU.
all letters blue, one red CRU. half your team redlining, the other half camping the CRU trying to end it early. If you hack that CRU, The rest of the team will hate you, and I will wish bad things to happen to you, traitor. |
