Hello Dust people, I need some helping finding the best capture card that records HD and that is compatible with a MacBook. I wanted to get the Roxie game capture card but its not for macs. I'm new to macs and capture cards all together and the reason I make this thread here is because I've seen a bunch of dust videos on YouTube so I know someone here can help me out. I would really appreciate it. I'm planning on getting it one on Saturday. I just need to know which one, lol.
Any details you need about my Mac, just ask. I'll help you to help me. Thanks. |

I've been wanting to do the same but my wallet begs me not to. Down, wallet! Down! I'm not under the mac limitation as my brother above. I also looked at the roxie, some avermedia cards and some HD PVRs.
I think I may just go for the roxie as the PS3 won't allow recording via HDMI anyways. HDCP is dumb :(

Opinions? Methods? Madness...? From my research, Roxie game is one of the really good ones for its price (80$?). If you want something less than 100 bucks and that records good quality video, go for the Roxie.
Damn you Mac, damn you! |

Since you're on a Mac look into the Elgato HD Game Capture. |

Be careful with the Roxio cards...from my research the included software does not have as many options as Xsplit, but you have to buy one of the premium versions of Xsplit to have it work w/ the Roxio. And then I've read there are some issue with that. But money wise, the Roxio (regular or pro) looks to be a good value. |
