why would ANYBODY USE 1??? I put a 674,890ISK DropShip onto the field FIRST THING... ran a 37minute skirmish and survived!!! ship went 59-0... i went 0-0... 125000ISK... please CCP... nerfed missiles i understand... but, SERIOUSLY... make a HOTZONE that earns passive wp, dmg counter, ANYTHING is better than what we (pilots) have, "NOTHING" ... i LOVE the DropShip, but a DropShip pilot CANT earn enough to even break even... ESPECIALLY WITH DIRE SENTINELS AND MILITIA FORGES... |

not all the way back... maybe a dual diminishing dmg radii... but NOT what it was... but there should be a greater range on small rails... say 75-80% of large... |

Also an "Eject all" button What he said. I've never had trouble earning WP while piloting a dropship. With competent gunners and decent flying you can earn yourself well over 1,000 WP a match and your squad an OB or two. I may not come out on top of the scoreboards in terms of WP whenever I decide to fly but I am usually within the top 5 if not 3.
its NOT the lack of WP... its the lack of ISK return due to the 0-0... ive come in 3rd place and only received 140000ISK due to 0-0.. |

Dropships do need a little push towards the WP side for troop ferrying, as well as LAVs (but that would require removal of free LAV) However, my squads and I have managed very well to keep my Dropships well and alive for the duration of the game. My gunners have received more kills and WP then 7/8 of the team and I earn Orbitals from my runs. You know how much my fitting costs? 378,000 ISK. That's damn cheap but I've made the most of it and because I rarely lose them now (when I do everything right) I'm getting purely profit because I only have between 0-2 deaths on the board from doing some ground thumping. Check us out at Condor Squad and we'll get you hooked up.
i AM a great pilot and my ship is designed to make a blueberry n00b gunner DEADLY... but then there is "Maglives"... "Kane Spero"... and many others aspiring to be like them... my ship ROCKS but even with a SHIP KDR of 230-1 (which it has) it does NOT pay for itself... MY GUNNERS ARE "RICH" BUT I CANT STOCK MY SHIP BY FLYING IT ALONE!!!

quick math ship about 700k 60 kills earn the pilot 2100 wp 140000ISK 0-0. 700k / 140k is 5 230-1 ... 60 PER MATCH is 4 matches showing a SLIGHT profit RIGHT???
but its a DropShip NOT A GunShip... hence the missile nerf (which i agree with) so if its AN UNREAL GUNSHIP it pays for itself... but what of the ACTUAL DropShips??? the Troop Ferriers... with MAGZ and KANE u can take "1" hit and live... we NEED points for doing our job JUST SAFELY DELIVERING TROOPS INTO DROPLINKLESS HOSTILE AREAS... we shouldnt have to build an Apache... its a BlackHawk... it needs to be able to pay for itself... when its fitted and flown properly ... NOT for the 10 second deaths... |

utility... my blasters are fully auto sniper rifles... which are necessary when HOVERING over red objectives as a SECURE CRU... and NO... theyre not ion cannons

meh... thats too easy... i woul LIKE to see a REDZONE ticker (passive wp for time spent INSIDE HOSTILE AIRSPACE, not hiding in the redzone safezone or behind a mountain in extended AIRSPACE), drop timer (awarded assist pts, pilot only, for anything done kill/hack within a short time period of successful drops), and SOME points for mobile CRU (otherwise i need more shields, theyre cheaper AND better UTILITY without) |

a reminder... players earn WP for doing their job/role... it is NOT a DropShips job to fly around shooting ppl... tho weve been reduced to as much... with 2 gunners... we might earn 1000WP in a GREAT match (including defend order/OB) ... but lets not fotget the MAIN problem for DropShip pilots... its NOT WP, its ISK... ISK...ISK... we cant afford to do our job...
on a humorous note... buddy and i experimented... know what happens when u put a drop uplink on the top of a flying dropship??? |

lol... im really looking forward to someones response when they place the uplink up there... CCP will love to hear about this hilarious program glitch, or IS it a glitch??? great sense of humor... ;-) |

Vehicles are expensive true, but that's the chance you take each time you bring one out. You say I can't make a profit when I bring it out, well guess what you made that decision when you brought it out in the first place. Same goes for when you choose to bring out more expensive gear and you get dropped. You made the choice and took the risk. Live with it. It was your choice.
