Heavy/HMG class is fine. You either have to have multiple people attacking him from different angles, and/or keep your distance. The HMG range MIGHT be 10% too far, but overall, its not that bad.
They are deadly in CQC maps, but suffer in the big open maps because of their slow speed. Even if they "death taxi", basic AV grenades are easy to get, and make quick work of the taxi.
The problem is that too many people think they should be able to go toe-to-toe with a heavy. |

I can only imagine all the tears that are shed when I take down someone, with my assault HMG with one level in HW-Sharpshooter, because they didn't think I could touch them. What's getting people to shed sweet carebear tears is the sharpshooter skill and assault variant.
Does anyone besides me actually read the description on the weapons? If you did, you might learn what CCP is intending.

Those of you who haven't used an HMG obviously miss another fact we HMG users deal with whenever we run extended sustained fire. Barrel climb. It gets worse the longer the trigger is held and makes the aiming more and more erratic. As for range... It's fine. |

I say buff the HMG, All HMGs should do 50 damage at least and have zero over heat, they should also have auto aim and increase movement speed by 600% and leech HP off of things they shoot. The HGM should also have infinite Ammo and grant God Mode to the user when you reload. They need to do my taxes and fix my sink as well.
I think this buff will fix all the issues people are having with the HMG. |

I think you should add the functionality to fix banana splits though. That might make it even with tanks. |

How about when a heavy tries to trudge his way 100 feet towards you, you shoot him. Or when you're 2 feet in front if the heavy you run.... Then shoot him.
It's not like shotgun scouts; when you get into close range of a good shotgun scout you're ****ed.... You can't run because they're faster than you, and one shot kills you. A heavy HMG on the other hand... RUN MOTHER****ER! |

How ignorant can people be the HMG is fine, if (and thats a big IF) anything needs to change its the Sharpshooter skill and NOT the HMG itself,
Sharpshooter currently gives 5% increase to range every lvl, now bump that down to 3% and it would help to "Nerf" the HMG without making it un-usable.
Oh and if your intellegent you can easily take out HMGer, I went Heavy Vs Heavy and won with a SMG Vs HMG, LEARN TO PLAY! |

Real HMG's have the range of a sniper rifle. If it were like that in Dust, then we'd be swimming in QQ lol

MMM, Yes most of these people dont realize the Range and Accuracy we have with todays weapons let alone what hteyd have in the far future.
Hell a .22 wil fly as far as a mile, and its not Unheard of for people to hit targets at 500yds with M4s either. |

My biggest problem with heavies is their use of LAVs. They suddenly become much easier to kill.
Point is, where there's a weapon or tactic that's deemed OP (or cheap, to be described more accurately) by the more outspoken minority, there's a way to put it down. I understand old habits die hard, but if the way you handle those situations doesn't work, learn a new way to tackle it. Just my two cents... For what its worth. |
