Where is the content! I think I speak for all of us when we say we want more guns more levels and more stuff to shoot (And for all of it to work). This lore uprising stuff is cool but not what we are tweaking for. |

The lore stuff is ridiculously easy for them to do at the moment. Putting in new content? Not so much. Besides, the bulk of their dev team is on vacation at the moment. They'll be back around the 21st, I think. |

I disagree. I enjoyed fighting for the Starkmanir, because it was the first time playing DUST that I felt connected to the EVE metagame. Certainly more of that will come later, in the form of things like the unified markets and planetary control. But I think CCP is doing a good job right now of working on what needs to be worked on while simultaneously throwing us DUST mercs a big meaty story bone or two. It's not as though they're taking time from developing the game to give us this event either. All it took was a few manually set up Mercenary battles and enough eager players to fill them. |

Agreed we need some new content that they have been talking about. But I think with this holiday and CCP being behind we wont see anything this month and maybe not even next at this point. |

not looking for unified markets not looking for all that stuff. Just fixes and a complete and solo stand alone entity. I feel enough eve feeling. I see eve players in chat, I can email them good to go, and they can shoot us from space(which is effing awesome) I don't need story telling stuff, we can do that stuff later. |

You're not listening: they're working on the game while doing this. It takes very little effort to pull off a DUST Live Event, and it takes a lot more effort to work on patches, expansions, and updates. Right now they can invest most of their time into major expanions (such as the upcoming one which is promising new suits, planetary conquest, and a graphics upgrade) while runnin these Live Events at little cost to themselves. The Live Events serve to keep the players interested and engaged in the game by including them in the metagame for EVE's world, which will tide them over until the next expansion is released.
Doing this Live Event is in no way keeping you from your precious updates. So be patient. |

If you want a standalone entity, you'll need to find another game. DUST has always been marketed as a companion game to EVE, and if you can't handle that you should leave now. |

I just hope they can give us the ability to choose which side we are on. I don't want to fight for the Minmatar, I want to support the Amarr. So the randomness is somewhat annoying for these events. But that's a limitation I am assuming they will overcome soon. |

Because I am holding all of the skyr in Iceland hostage unless they make storyline events.
Seriously, your question has been answered a number of times:
The Devs are working on the technical stuff, the storyline events are a cheap way to inject interesting variation into the game for those who want it while the boring programming and stuff is going on behind the scenes.
TLDR: It's PR, HTFU. |

Plus a communty guy is not a developer in the sense the communty think. He does community stuff and has very little to do with the development process other than relay feedback between the two as a result both can be done at the same time with no impact to each other. |

While wanting to assist a nation of slavers is despicable, one of the devs confirmed that choosing a side to join is coming soon without a TM. |

The Spring Festival is an important holiday in Shanghai. You couldn't expect the people there to work on a holiday, just like you wouldn't expect them to work on Christmas if they were living in the U.S. |

One I get that, I'm not asking about those employees I am asking what about the other teams, and what does the Shanghai team do specifically.

Personally, I really enjoy that the Dust side is finally getting plugged into some Ned Eden lore that involves player interaction.
Getting bugs and fixes address should be the priority, but as long there is no detriment to the development process I don't see any problem with giving us some story driven events. |

Shanghai team entirely focuses on the game content and base workings of dust 514. So issues with game being broken, new expansions, and the sorts is mostly on them.
GMs are under one roof and are scattered.
Iceland team entirely focuses on new eden product and the dust 514 network background and are responsible for the continued development of eve online. Which is also why live events are under their roof as well.
atlanta team is the most segregated working on world of darkness, a white wolf game.
Teams are highly inter-changeable but don't expect like all of shanghai to suddenly focus on eve. and all of iceland's team to suddenly all dust 514. they may do options that requires reaching across and work together such as changing pi stuff and faction warfare and lore development.
So when shanghai team is on break, expect no game updates all. If you log into IRC you'll notice most of the dust 514 ccp regulars are not logged on. |

thanks for the acknowledgement and your considerate response, I hate sounding like a whiner because all i have done is complain about having it completed vs helping to complete it. Think of me a kid before christmas. I eagerly await more content and fixes. |

Please think of the scale of what this game will end up as and the fact that we're connected to another game, and remember that even mainstream games like cod or BF3 had and still have some glitches. Basically the more you try to do the more that can go wrong |

I think CCP would agree with me when that excuse shouldn't be used as a crutch to not come out with a finished product or a finished product that sucks. |

I'm really not sure what you're getting at, but that could be because your language and grammar are atrocious. When you said standalone game, I assumed you meant that you wanted a game that could stand on its own. And that game isn't DUST. DUST has never been intended to stand on its own, it was intended to stand together with EVE Online. So in that sense, if you want DUST to stand alone, you're just being stupid.
But now I think you're talking about a working game that people can play relatively hassle free. And if you want that, I'd remind you that we're still in the beta stages, and that at no point has CCP said anything other than that this game is a work in progress. So treat it like that. The bugs and glitches are part of the job of being a beta tester. |

They highjacked this event thread to advertise it. As for going to the forums, the mechanics to really do these events right just isn't in place yet. |
