Fan boi of CCP here. Get that out in the open :P.
So whenever we play a new game, what is something that *usually happens* ? We get that annoying "plz sent your brightness to where u can barely see the black w/e on the right". We roll our eyes, fix the brightness, and move on like nbd.
But DUST 514 never did this. And for the longest of time i played a game that looked like crap. I felt like i was playing in a cardboard fps. The graphics werent deep, shadows were awful, and the game looked like... crap. But then everything changed. I was goofing around with my sensitivity and i noticed a brightness bar.
And it was set by 100% by default. Come to find out, my brightness in accordance to my TV was supposed to be at 0%!! So all of the sudden im playing in a ******* beautiful game. Granted, textures need a little work. BUT CCP, YOU NEED TO MAKE CHANGING BRIGHTNESS SETTINGS FRONT AND CENTER ASAP.

Good to hear. Hopefully this gets patched in very very soon.
OH, and CCP- dont use the stupid white to black bars.
What you want to do is use a dark symbol on a slightly lighter background. And then have ppl drop down their brightness to where they can barely see the symbol. The 'where u can barely see the line' is bad. Cause a less-than-one-inch-line isnt a good marker to base something that is so important in accordance to the look of the game. |
