I keep accidentally sending blank messages when I go and try to edit the content box. It would be a lot more user friendly if either they were switched so x was indeed select, or if there was a separate send button underneath like the equipment distribution menu. |

lol after so many games everyone uses x either they have to change it or you have to adjust it so if they problem isn't resolved you will naturally adjust. Simply forgetting its square isn't going to help keep telling your self its the square button in your mind and you will remember thus a simple fix they don't have to implement. |

The only reason I can think why CCP has done it differently to everyone else it that are trolling us on purpose.

Agreed with OP. In other instances, you push X to select what to do or write in the box, and there is a separate confirm/send button underneath. But for mailing they changed the controllers. Awkward and confusing. |

Please please do this.. last night i send 3 blank replys trying to send a an email with one word in it.. every other txt entering box in the game uses x to select the box but for some reason emails use square |

I have as well sent many blank messages by hitting x to open up the keyboard (instead of square). They need to either switch x and square (probably the easiest solution) or add a "send" button that you have to scroll over and click on. |

Really? what other boxes use X instead of square? Chats all use square... i think the only one that doesn't is the search option. so its the odd one out and you are just failing.

This is a good idea. CCP changes a ton of the controls with no seeming reason beyond BECAUSE DIFFERENT... without thinking that there may be a reason certain controls are the way they are... |

+1 From me on this one. There really is no need to overcomplicate the confirmation button. By adding a tertiary input for such a simple function we just end up with undue confusion. The X and O buttons have been on top of confirming and cancelling menu options for a good long time now. My vote is to let them keep up the good work. It's a small thing yeah - but still...

Oh my holy baby jellybeans THIS! It's so much worse with kb/m as it is so natural to hit enter! Enter sends a blank mail and you have to press "r" for the soft keyboard. Another thing is that to send PSN messages you use enter or x, and although it's easy to adjust sometimes years of instinct just keeps you doing the same thing over and over! |

I have sent more blank or incomplete messages than fully formed ones. Garbled transmissions can destroy corporations!
Please change this.
It needs to operate much like the PSN default mail app and countless other universes where the bottom center face button (x or a, or what have you) is equivalent to clicking into the description box when using a mouse/keyboard setup. |

Yes please change this. Square makes more sense as the X is too easy to hit after using the soft keyboard to enter someone's name, a double tap is likely and often a culprit of mass blank spam being offered everywhere. |

I think this is a great idea! 
I'm really used to the cross (X) button on the DS3 popping up the soft keyboard and have sent many blank messages because of this. (Sorry, blank mail recipients.  )
Also, I think it should be pointed out that there's a bit of inconsistency with popping up the soft keyboard. While the chat channels and mail system use the square ([]) button, the text fields for Player Search, Corporation Search, and the Corporation Donation Form use the cross (X) button. 
Anyway, I've gotten used to hitting the square ([]) button, so I'll be sending blank mails again for awhile if ccp changes this. XD |
