The medic system is pretty simple at the moment when someone gets downed on your team they can call for help this will flash a nanite injector on the map of any player with a nanite injector allowing this player to run over and save you. Sometimes though I can feel like I am waiting there for hours before I even know someone is coming to save me or not which waste game time and drys my patience up.
This is my idea how about a respond to help button that is implemented for squad or team members. Downed player request help from a medic. medic clicks button that responds to the downed players request and now shows the medic on the map blinking red coming to save him. However I don't think this system would work entirely mainly because the distance from players in games and multiple request coming in. Down player request helps medic accepts help request but now notices player is across the map, or is overwhelmed by help request. To fix this issue implement another command, medic holds R2 moves arrow stick over help downed player command, moves the square over the downed players body and hits R1. This will allow the medic to be able to respond to specific help request from closer or farther players.
I noticed the commands in this game are pretty dull I will jump into a game with a random squad I will try and issue orders that are never really followed and end up in a vehicle with someone not on my squad. Commands should be deeper such as issue order to everyone in vehicle, squad, and on team.
To prevent spam mostly in team commands a player would have to hold a certain command skill or officer skill to issue orders. To switch command types a player holds r2 this would bring up his command list then he hits r1 this would filter to his vehicle commands if he hit r1 again it would go to his team commands then back to squad commands.
Vehicle commands:
Bail Out Move to objective A, B, C, Etc... Pick me up (for players on ground) Fire on target
Team Commands
Move to point (for entire team) Reply to medic request etc etc...
I know this would seem pointless but think of when corporations on the ground do battle wouldn't you want to be more organized as a team not just a 4 man squad. This would allow a player specialized in commands to move the entire team to points not just certain members. I know mics could solve most of this but not all players use mics this would be an inclusive system.
* Lastly vehicle commands could be issued only by the players in that vehicle * Squad commands only by the players in that squad * Team commands only by the players with the right skills trained
BF3 players can aim on and click select this will give a pick me up yell to the player requesting and requested too as you can see a simple but effective system. |
