I read somewhere in this forum , people saying with more shields, we'll be easily detected. (eg. Showing on the radar , appearing chevrons. ) How true is it? |

Don't think we know for sure yet, going by EVE standards, shield extenders do increase your signature radius, but there's no such info showing in Dust so not sure yet, but wouldn't be surprised if this was added sooner or later.

Scanning seems a little off at the moment and there' s no way to confirm it right now but yea more shields are supposed to have a bigger radius. Doesn't have to be from mods, just the Type-II Assault suit with have a larger sig. At least when it's working correctly. And on top of that the different suits have different size sigs as well. |

Testing this wouldn't be hard. You get an 2 assault type 1 dropsuits with no or the same shield skills, dropsuit command skills, and dampening skills. You start a corp battle with some friendlies.
Then you fit basic/militia shield extenders to one and nothing to the other. You have a friendly red dot face north, then one blue approaches the red dot from 100m west and the other 100m east. If they both appear on radar at the same time, then shields don't matter. |

Regardless of whether or not they do now they are supposed to and will at some point when they get scanning worked out. |
