I waste more money on RDV's

Washlee UnReaL. 131	Posted - 2013.02.12 04:12:00 - [1] - Quote Well today I lost two dropships because of dumbass RDV Pilots these grade A graduating suicide pilots can't do a damn thing. Examples. 1. Cruising in my dropship as some of my corp buddies blast and rain on the red dots below and out of no where a RDV pilot backs up into me made no attempt to go another direction. 2. RDV inbound* Ready to kick some ass guys? RDV proceeds to run into some pipes flips my dropship upside down RDV blows up and dropship goes with it. These are not the only failed attempts of these High school dropout pilots I've lost several tanks (Gunnlogis with high grade mods) So to end this madness. Anybody have some stories of intresting things happened to them because of RDV's Also at CCP fix them or hire better pilots.

However, if you insist upon deploying them in ambush, go into the redzone for a little bit, it's less risky to deploy vehicles outside the land people use. But don't wait in the redzone obviously.

And yes, RDVs are the bane of dropships, like everything else. It's funny, dropships require the most skill to operate by far, yet are by far the least rewarding things to pilot / invest SP in. It's sad really, that not once has CCP shown us any form of love, instead constantly making our lives harder and harder, while continuing to give us the shaft when it comes to SP and ISK.

It's hard enough to survive swarm launchers that seem to have insane range(please fix) and the forge guns but when u fly and u go damn near the whole match without dying only to have rdv fly righ into u.... Bye 450k :( 2. This use to happen to me too I don't suggest the red line thing but u do need to learn the areas u can call stuff in at. And no we don't get any love. Points for people spawning on us at least would be nice we get nothing and seeing as the current role is transport this makes the most sense I'm sure ccp love is coming.

Its EZ to kill a tank in Ambush maps if you cant your a scrub your teams a scrub and you all needed to be Bio farmed ! skirmish maps have red lines for the tank to pull back into to get a way from av the risk of dead is less ! IF your dieing in skirmish maps to anything other then a Better tanker a OB or a blue noob,s Lav or a well planed AV ambush then you suck !

Problem with this is I too am very selective about where to call a vehicle, but sometimes you can't predict the future. ex: 1. Go to isolated area, try not to get sniped while waiting for ship. 2. blueberry follows 10 seconds behind you and calls in a free car 3. You watch in facepalming apathetic disbelief as the two RDV's collide wrecking your 800k dropship.. (for the 4th time that day) 4. Look at wallet and wonder why you're so poor, sarcastically. This in addition to RDV's kamikazeing you as they materialize full speed into your trajectory or flying up and away after a drop off clipping your explosive paint, flipping your ship upside down and sending you and 6 clueless AFK blue passengers spiraling downwards into spectacular unavoidable death needs to be fixed. God it needs to be fixed.

I don't believe any are fitted with sensors to detect objects smaller than a medium sized building. Some say its due to a fear of rogue drones, but I strongly suspect the manufacturer of our vehicles has played a role in this to sell more merchandise.

Expect this to be addressed after Feb 21st.

I just use my nice LAV for transport the LAV is free but it came with a rocket launcher turret, but I only really use my LAV for transport then kill everyone at my objective.

That might have been my LAV - I broke down laughing when I saw it delivered on top of the DS, and then seeing the DS tilt over on the ground My LAV didn't have a scratch on it, and I drove it away from the scene, imagining the DS owner screaming his/her head off behind me.
