Redline sniping is wrong, you cannot hunt them down and as far as counter sniping of any kind, we have a hit detection bug that has occurred since first closed beta release.
They can shoot you maybe, and all you will get are shield flashes.
On top of that the long distance map drawing does not draw details at range. So someone looks like they're floating in the air when the map at that distance just hasn't been drawn for your client. Same with hiding behind rocks ect.
A big issue with sniper range is current map set up, size and lack of foliage which to have any effect on sniping, will be a build a long time down the road and nowhere near the future.
So I def agree with the OP there needs to be a temporary fix to negate some of these issues until we have a better build and such to counter some of these issues, and the above was just listing a few.
The OP has a right to rage and be upset. I certainly am.
After like a year of it, it comes to a point of just being sick of it.
Now imagine your already fed up with these issues and bugs, then open beta comes.
A huge influx of new players sniping while learning the game.
The bugs feel like an exploit everyone can use, as well as the map sizes.
So when I see a rage thread like this, I have sympathy because it needs fixed and I understand the frustration, not just saying stop the QQ and get over it, if that was the case it maybe years before we see bugs fixed ect. Because CCP will feel its not a big enough problem to spend their time on. Believe it or not, I've never encountered this problem. |

Extremely big problem, widely experienced from the community and has been noted as an official bug for a long time. Connection doesn't matter, it's more server side. Ah. Thank you for clearing that up.
