So what if he goes 0-9 and quits? Do we get a gold star for trying?
Also not to downplay the integrity of an imps word, but shouldn't the money be handed over to a neutral party? (if this is indeed a legit bounty). |

impossible to do this imo. If he was close to going 1-10, 2-20, or god forbid 3-30, couldnt he just back out of the match and there would be no evidence? Dust bounties just make no sense to me atm. |

Let us know if anyone manages to complete a bounty and get paid.
Pairing the randomness of entering a match with the target with the need for recording equipment I see a very low likely hood that anyone will actually get a chance to attempt it. It sounds very impractical when you add the need to find the target in match among all the other players the required number of times.
Unless it's DUST money it doesn't exist. There is no transfer allowed now, and when the spigot opens it will come with a 90% transfer tax, turning that 100M into 10M. That's not a bad chunk of change, but hardly worth all the effort of tracking and recording. |

How about the eve player buys 100 marauders, then creates a contract for you.
Will that be taxed?
I'm sure after the contract is accepted you can resell the tanks.

Should also note, it just doesnt have to be one person, you just have to be on the other team and get it on video. |

What I require is video proof of an entire match. Bonus payout for inventive or unique ways of killing any vehicles he calls in and QQ ragemail.
ALSO, you must be in a KNOWN corp. No scrublets setting up fake corps. Idk what this dude did to makenyou mad but this is dumb Pol letting him get you irratated enough to do this crap just makes you look immature Not irritated, just bored, figured I could pay some of you scrubs to hunt this loser down.
Hmm, paying scrubs to hunt a loser down... That should imply that: 1) You have better things to do; 2) You are worse than Dark and want to pay someone better to do it for you.
I can perfectly understand why option #1 would work in EVE, people have responsibilities, duties, and sometimes don't have time to hunt down petty criminals.
In Dust, however, everyone plays everyone at some point, it's how matchmaking works. You have the same chances to meet Dark as everybody else here.
Thus, my logical conclusion by elimination is that the loser plays better than you do, and "scrublets" is your definition of "good players". Since you can't fulfill your bounty's requirements yourself. |

Could easily create an alt and hunt him down yourself.
Not to mention that "scrubs" will easily exploit your bounty system and then laugh. |

That does increase the opportunity to be matched with your target and also find him in match. It also eliminates the need for every member to be recording as the kill feed will catch all the rest. I think the odds are still pretty slim, but that does improve them by a factor of four (present squad size).
However it also increases the number of mercs who have to split the bounty.
I get that the motivation is simply to harass the target and a payout isn't needed (or even necessarily desired), but with all the roadblocks I don't see it as effective. It's going to be rare that everything comes together and the target is hunted, so is he even going to notice when it occurs? Getting podded is an EVE pilots nightmare, not so the DUST merc. The enemy team is always hunting us and we get killed many times a day. The tiny additional effort that a bounty would generate just gets lost in the noise.
I'm watching, but just don't see the bounty system translating effectively to DUST. |
