Is this even possible? Saw one person do 20 precision strikes, more than 1 per minute, in a skirmish match. Is there not some sorta cooldown on such a blatantly cheap (and not supposed to be able to be used without a EVE corp after beta) attack? |

The requirement that an EVE player initiate the bombardment from space doesn't apply to pub matches. |

So they can basically spam precision strikes nonstop on the enemy spawn points? |

This does seem off. There is a war point requirement and there aren't enough clones to kill or objectives to hack or anything like that to get that many war points in a match.
But as has been pointed out, precision strikes will always be available to all players. You don't need friends in space to call them from the war barge. |

No, you can't spam them in any game. They always cost WP to call in. If someone did spam 20, then clearly there's an exploit that has allowed them to farm WP without killing enemies or taking objectives, like before with the LAV repairing exploit. |

What he is saying the npc controlled warbarge in orbit has strike capabilities while in orbit.
What seems though the guy is managing to find a way to chain the bombardments together and because you guys are standing so close together its very easy to carpet bomb you guys into oblivion. |

It require's 2500wp to initiate an OB so i highly doubt a squad gained 50,000 WP in a match also when an OB is called in it hit's multiple times so note sure where you saw a guy call in 20 |

InsidiousN wrote:Are you sure you just weren't seeing someone shoot a railgun at you? Nope. It was marked precision strikes as kills, They would pretty much hit a spawn point every single time someone respawned. Got hit once as well, all I saw was "(cheater's name here) precision strike Evergreen Strauss." Didn't even have time to see the explosion... |

20 times meaning 20 different strikes that showed up as kills at least 15 seconds apart. |

Sounds like Call of Duty, Black Ops 2... Weird.
How many total kills did they get?
Edit* One strike can net upwards of 10 kills, depending. Sometimes the kill feed will lag... Should not be possible to chain or spam orbital strikes though. Even if each orbital killed 5 tanks and 10 players and there were assists and squad leader bonus points with each strike...
And since there is no revive from death by Orbital, even if a team got really badly steamrolled the losing team should have lost by clone kill... |

He is doing it with a squad. I can think of one possible way: 3 players with nanohives sit at supply depot shooting and getting squad resupply points. When hives run out, or to reset timers, they change fits at the depot.
Haven't tested but that's the first idea. |

It takes 2500 squad warpoints to get 1 orbital. 2500x20 = 50,000WP needed for 20 strikes...
Most I've ever seen in a game is 9, 4 from my squad, 2 from 2 others and 1 from the blueberry patrol. Precision strikes do count towards earning more precision strikes, it is possible to get one purely from another, but it involves getting at least 14 kills with it, amongst other things.... Anyway, its most likely the OB's blocked up the kill feed, it gives the impression of more than 1 being called at a time. |

Lets pretend this was me. Lets pretend I had my whole team queue-synced into the same team. Lets pretend the squad leaders were named Garrett Blacknova, Garett Blacknova, Garret Blacknova and Garet Blacknova.
Are you really going to see the differences from one name to the next when we're dropping a sequence of orbital strikes on your team?
To be fair, though, I doubt this is actually what happened, and I hope you reported the player in question via the official support email address. And if they were cheating, I hope they get more than just a ban from DUST (it's against PSN T&Cs, so it should see at least a temporary suspension of the account from PSN). |

I don't see that working.
Maximum WP gain per Team Resupply = 10 Minimum WP needed to call in a precision strike from an NPC warbarge = 2500 Total WP need to achieve 20 strikes in a single match = 50,000 Minimum number of Team Resupplies to achieve 20 strikes = 5,000 Number of Team Ressuplies per player assuming those 3 players each deploy nanohives = 1,667
Considering that nanohives now have a finite supply of nanites, a single nanohive will surely deplete long before even a portion of the goal is reached. Not to mention the time it takes to swap fits. |
