Can't say we are too "impressed" with you guys, just as long as you bow to our superiority all is good These larger alliances need to understand that if they want to keep their stuff they better play nice. You only own that district because we allow it to be. We could take it anytime we want, poop in your space elevator and raid your fridge for beers. Yeah, because that's how it's gonna work. You take one of ours, we'll take 10 of yours simultaneously.
It's almost like they don't understand making pointless threads calling out corps is bad for business. Soon hiring you guys is going to be a liability when all the 'PvE' corps decide to constantly contest any land you guys take by winning battles. When you can't defend it all there will be no reason to hire you to take it in the first place. Even if they are not a direct threat to you on the battlefield they can still undermine your value as a Corporation through sheer size. Numbers were always as important as skill in EvE if not more important, just look at who holds sov and how much.
Remember how the Battle of Thermopylae ended?
Also feel free to add me to the list I could probably use the exposure, maybe pick up a few new PvE players |

You do understand we are the Spartans( 63 imperfects + 92 impswarm+ 145 other people who I deem worthy) versus all the scrubs!
I am saying you guys are the Spartans, 300 of you guys if that pleases you.
Great at winning battles, untested at winning wars.
Either way you guys seem to be setting up a Greco-Persian War all right. If history has shown us anything outnumbering yourself in combat 10 to 1 is never a good idea. I guess we will see how it plays out, keep calling out more Corps.

Then we are going take all your stuff and shower in your tears. Its going to tear alliances apart and will change the way people look at null sec. Yeah the goons use numbers to win. We use skill to take planets. We will be a tool that alliances use when they have to take a planet. Or when you have a serious vendetta and you need someone destroyed. Our services won't come cheap though.
People hate us now. Just wait until we are bringing you the tears of your worst enemy in a fancy wine glass.
Your enemies will target the assets you were hired to take, and take them back after you move on to your next target. Great you got paid who cares. The people who hired you are going to care, and they will probably look for someone who can do the job with a lower profile next time so they can keep the asset after you take it.
If you think you are above politics because of your skill you are sadly mistaken. Even if you are the best in the universe you will only be able to hold land that you have the players to support, and taking over land that will be lost instantly will have no value to anyone. If you think a few hundred people, even the best people are going to decide wars I'm afraid you might be a bit delusional when we are talking about 1,000,000 characters created. There is a place for a small elite squads, but that place is not universal dominance. |

They could only stand against a overwhelming force by taking them out one by one on a small corridor. But as soon they lost the ground advantage they have beeing overrun. Not a smart choice to refer yourself to a army that lost. Protip Dark Scrub - You aren't the Spartans or the Persians. You type in forums.

Crimson Moon V wrote: If you attack an alliance after we take a planet for them you are not attacking us anymore. You are attacking that alliance. Considering we will only be hired by the richest corps in new eden I wouldn't see that as a good idea. I don't think our skill makes us above politics. Our skill changes the politics altogether.
I see what you are saying, at this point it will depend how they set up the Sov system for planets and systems. If taking a few key districts could influence a war because of the structure of the system then you are probably right.
If all districts are more or less treated the same, and just a majority is needed for control of an area then numbers will be much more important than skill.
Until more information is exposed it's kind of pointless to go on about skill vs. numbers either of us could be wrong so I'm moving on. |
