We've beat them and been beat by them. We can go back and fourth and learn a lot from each other, they just need more people who have the balls to face them. Personally I don't back down from a challenge, love it, random pubs in Dust are too easy and boring.
For the record James we have sent diff teams against you guys last 3 times. 8v8 is really a crap shoot of team comp and map sides these days. I look foward to more epic battles in the future when ccp gives us bigger maps and teams/squads |

Numbers will count when we fight for planets, large corp could attack 10 spots at same time, so they bring 240 players on there side, smaller corp either plays 6vs24 on all maps, 24vs24 on few and forfeits the rest, or some thing in between.
i predict this may be tactic goons will use, probably by hiring many other corps to fight for them.
Another option is to attack same spot over and over rotating players in and out, better players at some point will have to log off or get worn out or go broke if matches give no isk(possible some modes won't). Large corp could have a district in constant battle for a week as elite corp gets exhausted.
I don't think it should be any bigger than 32 vs 32. I dont want this to be mag mmo or planet side.
I know all the nullsec alliances think that in a year there will be hardly any players and they can just zerg planets. If ccp ever turns this into a zerg mmo its over.
As someone who has managed fps clans for last 10 years I have to say getting 64 + alternates on with any consistancy would be near impossible. Based on my exp you need 3x (192) the match amount of active players and 5x (320) total.
The next thing that happens is you burn how the moderate/casual players. Not to mention that you will mainly have battles on weekends since just taking 1 district can take an hour to attack/defend with prep/post match stuff.
CCP has already said dust will support small corps being able to battle. I highly doubt they consider 200+ a small corp |

Have you played in corp battles since?
We still have players that dc, lag out, coms glitch, etc just yesterday. I was helping Regnum do a tutorial video Friday night and we had 4 people total in the match and we all kept getting huge lag spikes and choppy coms.
CORP BATTLES ARE BAD for performance and ccp should feel bad for it. |

Both sides don't know what map it is so its unfair to each and not an advatange for either. This is why i said earlier team comp of 8v8 is random at best
Long term the districts will be static maps so we will have to use the meta game to get intel on districts we fight on. I do agree that the 10 minute window before a match we should see a lay out on the war table.
Arena is a different issue all together |
