What is it?
Have you ever played Crysis 2 with it's K-volt or the shock weapons from the Borderlands series? If so you know that they destory shields and suit energy in a blink of an eye, but are weaker against armor and health. This gun will act like a Logibro's best friend, destorying the shields of enemies while the Heavies finished them off with their HMG's or Forge gun's.
How would this gun work? .This gun should be a light weapon. .Should fire like the AR's do now, with similar range but travel slightly slower. .The damage should be higher on shields (2x more powerful) but slightly lower on armor (0.7x weaker) .The gun will have the chance to give a DoT effect. When the extra damage starts (3hp every 1sec) it will unleash an blast of shock energy passing on the DoT to any other enemies around the target. .(Vote) I was thinking of it having the chance to disrupt enemy vehicles and instillations (except dropships that transport vehicles) for a few seconds, however I would think that this would be an excuse to troll the enemy team and would be to easy to destory dropships (but would be funny). So I'll let you guys decide on that.
OP? Hell no. .Weaker damage to armor . Bullet speed slower.
Appearance? THIS Based around the assault rifle but with blue power outputs around the gun.
Skills Operation: 3% increase radius of DoT effect Proficiency;3% more damage overall (Gun and DoT)
Variants Burst: Fires in 5 shots bursts for more accuracy. Tatical: Semi Auto. but more gun damage overall. Shocker: Less gun damage, but more DoT damage. Breach: More gun damage, but lower Mag size.
Note: Was thinking of an SMG variant of this gun. but the SMG's need some changes made first. The damage stats for shield, armor and DoT were random guesses. |

Last time I checked, Gallente doesn't play with electricity. This would be more of a Amarr weapon, in which We're getting as the scrambler Rifle. The only thing it won't do is disrupt vehicles (would make it OP as hell. We're already weak paper toys as is) and DoT. You get shield bounses though, so be happy. |

I can see where you are going with it but over all I think there would be no point to this once ammo is aviable and we can pick up EM ammo. |

Here's the breakdown on which faction favors what type of dakka:
Amarr: Lasers (Energy weapons, our laser rifle, scrambler pistol, and flux grenade)
Gallente: Hybrids (Hybrid weapons... think metals in plasma state in a round, this is our current sniper, AR, shotgun and the forge cannon)
Caldari: Missiles (Explosive weapons, anything that goes boom)
Minmatar: Projectiles (Kinetic weapons, this is our SMG and HMG) |
