I like Dust 514, I just don't like the platform I have to play it on. The PS3 is too old, and all signs point to the PS4 coming out later this year anyways, so I really don't see the point in this game being a PS3 title at this point. This game can easily be on PC , But sony doesn't want competition with its own game. Planetside 2 is another free to play FPS on PC by sony. Its bad marketing and business for Sony if they have two free to plays on PC.
I wouldn't completely agree with you. There is a new 3rd person shooter that is going to be released as a cross platform MMO for all consoles and PC. If they ported it, they could then cross platform them and the player base would seriously increase. Just because it being on PC, doesn't mean that they lose sales, they would really increase in reality.
On with the PS4, with the PSN and such, I doubt there is going to be much different for the coders between the PS3 and PS4, yeah, there will be some improvements and changes but there will be similarities that any PS3 dev should be able to COPE with, also... if I recall, didn't I see Dust 514 on VITA? And also they don't need to worry about multiple servers and such, since EVE and Dust run off the same Trinity (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) server, so, the only things they would really need to do is maintain key development for the PS3 then expand upon the PS4, heck even cross them, why not, should work. |

There are places you can pay a subscription fee to get hacks automatically for just about every major pc shooter out there. These sites have several dozen people tearing apart the game's code to get these hacks installed. Similar to the pc game key websites and the sorts.
Yes he's right, PC is littered with hacks. Yes, ps3/xbox360 is too, but not to the extent of the PC. I would place BF3 or MoH (newest) and bare whitness to people pulling off miracle shots, sadly it's difficult to catch hacks on BF3 but MoH, with the kill cam, you can see it when they suddenly snap and lock and get headshot after headshot. I never bought CoD for PC because for some reason, they have the worst anti hack support and durring two free weekends, in almost every match, it was a hack vs hack match, those without died literally the second you spawned, I remember then running around like turrets snapping in every direction, funny to say the least, but pathetic. |

Agreed, with the PS3 on the last leg of it's run and a possible announcement of a PS4 right around the corner, they have to have a plan for the PS4. Improved graphics, content, ect. |

Unreal Engine is always lauded for it's accessibility. UE3 will carry over to PS4. The Samaritan Demo released in 2011 revealed that the engine still has juice to be squeezed from it: Samaritan Demo (Youtube)After a few years I suspect the game will migrate engines (as has happened with EVE) to UE4. I'm sure UE3-to-UE4 will be a smooth transition. Unreal Engine 4 (Youtube)
