never got a dev answer as to why the voice system is the way it is why would you make a team game, and then remove the most fundamental component of good teamwork? is this to prevent strain on your voice comm servers? why not just say that? |

Does anyone remember how bad VC on BF3 was on the PS3 for the first three months, while it worked flawlessly on PC and 360.
that's perfectly reasonable, i just wish they would say SOMETHING

checked on the IRC last night, apparently the voice chat being default off was a consequence of a very low level bug |

Odayian Dust Bunny wrote:I assume for voice, they are using the same servers as EVE. For their backbone, I believe CCP uses a variant of C3/Vivox. Their servers should have more then enough power to handle the communication. More then likely it is an issue with our current client.
On a side-note: Double check your Dust data, if you had the client for a while (>3.5GB on disk) you will run into a lot of issues (Graphical, Match making, audio, etc.) Delete the data, re-download and re-install. :) Few friends were having a variety of issues and our clients were around 8.5-9GB, the re-install fixed most of it.
uh, you're going to have to qualify that, there isn't any way to check the installed size of a game on the ps3 as far as i know edit; whops, it's listed as "size" in megabytes when looking at the information panel of a downloaded game, kind of in the middle of the list |
