When the Devs finally fix the sniper reloading problem. I know I mention it a lot, but it really has become a very annoying bug
I want to mention this because there are a select squeaky bunch that keeps harping on sniping. Let me just say this, you have no idea how much worse it is going to get for your bunch. I miss out on probably 33% of my kills because of the issue. I know other snipers must have the same wrestling match?
So enjoy it while you can

There is a NASTAY bug that so far on the: - militia sniper rifle - Reg sniper rifle - NT-511
Each have 5 rounds, and randomly it will automatically reload on the 3rd or 4th out of 5 shots.
Head shots are obviously mostly 1 shot 1 kill. But people far away hopping and on the run, it takes two shots (unless they are weak scouts) to take most people out. Heavies are 4+ shots depending how buffed they are. It's super hard to whittle a heavy down until death because you'll reload in the middle of the engagement, and poof.. HE GONE!
It does take skill to snipe. far more than roaring into a crowd with an HMG, but less than a shotty scout... sound about right? You know the best way to kill an entire team's snipers? one good enemy sniper :) |

Each have 5 rounds, and randomly it will automatically reload on the 3rd or 4th out of 5 shots. This bug effects my mass driver and my assault rifle too. It's random and intermittent, and the timing is always terrible. Also, the Militia Sniper rifle reloads after three shots... because it only HAS THREE SHOTS.
Really? It's been awhile, so thanks for pointing that out. The C-15A Tac sniper rifle shoots three as well, and reloads randomly on the 2nd shot. The militia was probably similar.
I can safely conclude even the proto sniper rifles have the issue. I do have issues where the assault rifle seems to jam, and I have to reload to clear it.. almost cool in a way. If it was the 20th century...

Don Von Hulio wrote:I use the stated rifles, but ive never noticed this glitch. When i snipe i go for headshots, i can kill heavies with 3 shots, and everything else with 2. Sniping isnt hard, its more of a gamble with hit detection and sensitivity. Since the aiming controls are not optimal yet, it still jumps sometimes no matter what you have it set to.
90% of all snipers sit out in the open anyways an can be spotted by just panning your view an looking for the big red arrow thats 1000+ meters away.
You people who "lead" your targets are doing it wrong. Since there is no bullet physics, there is no bullet flight time. The game works like laser tag.
This game has the easiest sniping aspect ever. The initial sway is kinda gimmicky, but whatever, quick scoping would just **** the shotgun fairies off. lol
I go for head shots as well, but most times I get kills by rocking a running hoping target by picking them off piece by piece. There's people that do the one two shuffle as well. OR situations when you are firing into a crowd of redd bars and long names.. impossible to see any detail of what you are hitting. You just hope for red Xs. So head shots are optimal, but if that's all you go for you're gimping your kill count. As an aside, I hope they add an extra bump of SPs for headshots. Especially snipers, but I think every player should get it with any weapon.
Besides, real life snipers will go for body mass shots over head shots if they can. It's a far bigger target to hit, and with today's ballistics it's assuredly death. A kill is a kill.
I just want to add, hiding and moving is a reason it is work to be a good sniper. And you can't always hide yourself from every angle of attack, so you have to be efficient about checking your surroundings and maintaing your position superiority. |

Are you guys sure you play this game?
But that's not entirely correct, unless the target is stationary. You lead in the sense you pull the trigger on a moving target by placing the reticle where you think they will be mid-leap, stride, or hop when you do pull the trigger. It's like reverse bullet drop. You are sending the bullet with the target leading where you pull vs you leading the bullet to where the target will be.
I can do either just the same, so bullet drop or no.. the tears will flow heavy replete with hitching breathing. |
