Would like to see a Logistics/Sniper based weapon that could be used to highlight specific targets for the rest of your team. Was thinking it would work like the laser rifle, where a sustained shot "paints" the target to a greater degree the longer it hits them. The paint I figure would be a huge increase in the targets scanning profile, maxing out at maybe triple what their current profile is. Or possibly even putting a highlight on that individual that your team can see. I think it'd be nice to be able to mark a troublesome sniper so everyone knows he's there, or put out a "hit" on a HMG Heavy whose really spec'd out and causing some damage. Or even someone whose just behind your lines that you lost track of.
Maybe I don't understand how having a giant profile would effect things in the game exactly, but it's a thought. Thanks! :) |

If a target was being painted, would I be able to lock missiles on it? That seems like the logical direction to take that, where swarms are able to lock onto whatever the painter is hitting, but it has to remain on target for the entire time. |

Ooo! That'd be kinda cool! Once someone is max painted they can be locked on by swarm launchers! I figure the profile would slowly drop after a little while once they've been painted. With higher tech Painters either painting them faster or keeping the max paint for longer before it drops or have it general drop off be slower.
Could be cool for people piloting dropships or gunships too, would let you paint a particular person and the pilot can really zero in on them! |
