So I carelessly trained Sensor Upgrades to 4 by accident. Now I'm the proud owner of -20% CPU on sensor modules. Yaaay...
I'm not kicking myself too hard about it. It's only a few days worth of SP, and I do have an active booster going so I'm making it up fairly quickly. What I'm curious about is, is there something I'd have trained this skill to 4 for anyway, eventually? Some equipment with that prereq that'll be useful in endgame? Do profile dampeners count as that type of module or am I just gonna have to be that guy who equips a scanner? Are there those guys? |

We had a scout with a scanner module in our squad the other day and it was wonderful. Red dots appearing all over the place, which we would go and kill. |

Go the dampening route, get some tech II's and become a ninja! |

Thanks guys. It's good to hear a scanner can make a difference, and I have been liking this sneak shotty scout fitting I've been trying out lately. |

Its not too bad, you only went one level over what you need to unlock the profile damping and I think scan precision skill.
Or was it the long range scanning skill?
Euther way, you need 3 levels in it. |

Am I correct to assume I'd want to get in with a regular squad or, even better, a halfway decent corp in order for any sensor benefits I bring to be exploited best?
Is it squad only, or does the whole team benefit from me "spotting?" Or is spotting different from detecting via the scanner? I've been watching a series of youtubeses on Dust 514 by this one guy and he mentioned spotting in an episode about sniping. |
