I've been playing around trying to get some fittings with improved AUR items.
The problem is they don't work!
They aur items have lowers skill requirements but not lower fitting requirements meaning you can't actually fit them them onto a suit. Even just trying to use one aur item like an improved weapon usually means you cant equip a side weapon. And trying to get a fit with more then 1 aur item ... forget it.
By the time I'll be able to actually equip these I imagine i'd be able to use the regular upgraded items for isk. So basically I see CCP losing alot of money and potential customers here by not making these items actually usable. Does anyone else have any experience or feedback on trying to get some fits with aur items going? |

Unless you upgrade your suit, you're going to have a hard time fitting everything you want in the first place (AUR or ISK).
You either have to be willing to give up something to have the "better" items, or upgrade your suit to accommodate them.
My best suits (right now, almost to Adv suits) is a Standard Assault suit (Type-I) with all standard mods/Sidearm/grenade, an Adv AR and Adv (AUR, so really more like Proto) Nanohives or Nanite Injectors (have two fittings). Yes, I can fit all that because I have invested a lot into the CPU skills. EDIT: After I get my Adv suits, I'll be able to fit in my Adv mods and (maybe, have to check) a Proto AR. Plan ahead and don't just go into this blindly |

You do realize that if AUR items had lower fitting requirements or other perks, it would result in Dust being P2W? There's already some P2W since you can buy skill boosters - that's another discussion -, but giving AUR items bonuses would take Dust way into P2W territory. |

Not sure if OP is referring to the items that say they have lower fitting costs in the description since many of those are incorrectly labeled in terms of pg/cpu but thats gonna get fixed. |

Maybe...but there are (I think; I have to check) ISK variants that also say they lower CPU/PG but don't.
EDIT: I think the Stable Drop Uplinks are one of those that is like that, and they are an ISK item... |
