Hi Dust-bros, CCP Punktardust here with an update on the "low hanging fruit" initiative.
We've added a clock to the neocom showing the current game time. We've made sure this is visible when looking at merc or corp battle contracts so you can easily see how long it is before the battle starts. To make it even easier though, if you select a contract it tells you in hours and minutes exactly how long before the start.
Talking of starting battles, getting from one battle to the next feels a bit clunky at the moment. To make things a little smoother we've added an option on the battle report screen (the one showing you your SP & ISK gains) to launch you immediately into another instant battle like the one you've just finished. This works for both individual mercs and for squads.
On the subject of squads, we've added the ability to invite other players into your squad using a menu option when selecting them from the chat channel. This should free you from the tyranny of the contacts list, which we are hoping to do some work on soon anyway.
We've also listened to requests for the "restock" option on the fitting screen to return to the old method of purchasing only enough modules to allow you to fit the specified number of suits. So, if you have a suit that requires 2 shield extenders and 1 assault rifler, and you have 3 shield extenders already, restocking the suit to 5 will purchase 7 extenders and 5 rifles.
Next, as this is a beta test, and you are testing the game for us, we thought it might be good to give you some tools to help. You can now use the options menu to enable a technical display during battle showing your current framerate and the average ping time to the current battle server; these are shown unobtrusively in the corner of the screen.
Hopefully all these little things should contribute to making your gameplay experience just that little bit more pleasent.

Pretending to be a CCP dev, even in jest, is a VERY bad idea. |

Pretending to be a CCP employee, even when blatantly obviously not, is against the forum rules. |
