Hello, I am currently using a gunloggi with blaster on it, but I want to benefit from the bonus damage of armor tank that increase the dmg of blasters. [][][][]So I have a few questions for armor tank users.[][][][] What are the pros and cons of an armor tank? How should I equip it? What strategy you armor tank guys follow during a combat with; A-) infantry B-) Tank C-) AV personal

Forge can't do much to you. And you have tons of armor. Most people have around 7-10 k Armor on armor tanks, while shield tanks don't usually surpass 6-7k. Swarms do hurt though. |

Well even if they have 7-10 k Armor are not they slow? I want somebody to compare their all aspects. |

You will be ungodly slow so have an exit strategy or invest in a prop mod. Also if you can get a second tank on the ground only put plates and active hardeners with remote reps for each tank, each one will rep 4500ish armor and youll be a boss. It's called spider tanking. |

u have come to the right person.
high- whatever u like low-1 armor plate 2 hardeners 1 heavy armor rep and 1 light
turrets- blasters everywhere
a- it kills them quite well. good at medium range or short.
b- it kills all tanks. just ask all those gunnlogis i kill.
c- av no problem only those pesky av grenades and high teir swarms.
if u need more msg me i'm in ur corp man. Lol

Pros: Large tank, ability to rep tank a lot of damage for a short amount of time
Cons: Slow, slower to get back into combat after taking damage and using its reps
Fits: Personaly i use a 180 mm plate, then 3 small reps. Its less rep potential then a large rep and small plates, but a larger buffer tank and the ability to spread your reps evenly (rather than in one large chunk) I use a railgun main and blaster secondaries. Take the time and isk to invest in your secondary turrets, you won't regret the decision if you can get a good crew.
A) Infantry - Assuming non AV (including AV nades because those do more damage then most actual AV) focus on giving your gunners good sight lines and get into a position where your target won't have good cover. Use your rail gun to get splash damage on targets (remember that you get 25 for a kill assist, and 35 for a driver assist, which is more than actualy getting the kill) The rail gun has perfect accuracy, so you can use it to hit people standing still and/or far away quite easily.
B) Tanks - With an railgun fit you'll have no problem out damaging blaster fit tanks. Turn on as many reps as you need to tank it and open fire. Be carful about following tanks that are retreating, as AV infantry is going to be a much bigger threat than enemy tanks will. On the other hand you have to be agressive if you catch a tank in a vulnerable position. Doing damage is good but you need to aim for the kill all the time.
C) AV personal - Honestly, run. AV is overpowered right now, a well tanked tank (lol) can survive a lot of hits from a lone AV, but two or three can alpha you before your reps can save you. And a squad of 4 guys with AV nades WILL KILL YOU. PERIOD. Don't mess with them, move back and let your infantry take care of them since they should be fairly vulnurable when they have AV weapons equipt.
D) Instalations - With a rail gun it will take 4 shots with a militia or standard gun, 3 if you have decent skills, to destroy an instilation. Always kill rail gun turrets, as they will out DPS your reps easily. Kill all neutral instilations you can, because if it gets hacked when you arn't paying attention it can easily cost you your tank. One of the largets benifits to the railgun turret is its ability to kill instalations, they are a much bigger thread to blaster main tanks.
Hope this helps and can't wait till i see you on the battlefield! |

Armor tanks can also usually take down a shield tank in a 1 on 1. |

A little off topic - I just this morning solo'd a standard shield tank with 4 standard flux grenades and 4 advanced swarms. Granted I had a good position and the driver was stupid enough to leave himself alone in the middle of the complex, so make sure you don't do that. But whatever anyone says about AV nades against armour tanks, fluxes against shield tanks are far more dangerous.
So yeah, armour is the way to go and don't try to run the entire enemy team down on your own. |

Also use a keybord for tanking, since the keybord is glitched it lets yoyr tank move faster which will help with your amror tank

Armor seems to be better for AI stuff because you get more of a buffer.
Shields seem to be more of AV oriented, DPS yo. |

Armor is slow but better for new people. I prefer shield Caldari tracks because they are faster and I have better range with rails. My theory is that if you are getting beat on you're doing it wrong. If you get in a bad spot with a swarm gunner on you it can be a big problem. I would rather be able to get in and out of the **** fast. I have driven tracks in real life so I know a thing or two. Tracks are meant to be fast, they are only slow in world war 2 movies. I drove an armor track and it was like driving a tractor, that won't do. Remember if you plan on face tanking the map you are better off armor, but if you want to be a good tank killer/installation killer go shield and be smart. I went shield Caldari when I rode in some guys Caldari shield track and we flew around the map like we were in a 4 wheeler (by HAV standards), I was sold instantly. |

yes, yes they do blow up.
I've been complaining about them bleeding out since day 1.
Everything else catches on fire, only tanks bleed out. |

^^ I'd say it's not well balanced yet as we only have half of the tank weapons and tank types. Give them time before we balance an unfinished feature.

Also if you want damage you'll be slow. Or wait for the minmatar tank, rawr.
Also if you are in a slow armor tank I would suggest getting a friend and using remote armor reps on each other. You can fit for more buffer tank and remote reps are better overall. |
