I've heard that it would take 6-7 years to accrue enough SP to buy every single skill point in existence. So what happens when players have everything (assuming that none of the skills that will inevitably come from expansions/updates are taken)? |

There will be more skills in 7 years. Things we don't have yet that are confrimed and will take more sp
Robot combat mechs Fighter jets Bombers Drones Minmtar/ammar LAVs and HAVs Railgun ARs Flaylock pistol *more weapons here* RTS commander mode related skills pilot and crusader suits Skills related to opening and running local pubs
I think that's all we can be sure of coming in the next 4 years, past that... even more skills!
edit*oh read the part at the end of post, but if no new skills and content were added then the game would die before 6 years were up. So that's what would happen, the 10 people left playing would get bored and leave. |

By that time the consoles will be so powerful we'll be playing EVE on them.
Nah, just kidding.
Probably hardcore null-sec wars; people who are still playing will be worried about alliances, territories, and POWER!!! |

Based on what they've done with Eve, I'd suggest the chances of CCP allowing players to run out of skills to train is about 0%.

Agree with that. The primary example would be racial dropsuits and, as an extent, skills coming next expansion. And further on: new weapons, suits, vehicles, modules, etc., etc... No way we'd run out of skills to upgrade, although it's an interesting thing to speculate about. |

That is how long for the current skills available - CCP introduces new mods/gear/vehihcles all the times, and with them new skill books. For example, there are other racial suits coming soon (i.e. Minmater Assautl) that will have its own skill book. |

We'll have all those within the next year or so, some in the next month or so. Tons of content planned. Lots to do. |

Not at the current rate of new modules hitting the battlefield. Currently the highest skilled player is http://eveboard.com/pilot/Dr_Caymus
and I can certainly kill him in eve if I ever ran into him. but he can probably put a bounty so large on my head I'd never see the light of day. |

Couldn't find out how many years of training time have been added to Eve as a result of its expansions adding new skills, but I assume it is many. |

In 7 years Dust players will still be training new things that we don't have now. Eve players that have been playing since 2003 (year of release) are still learning new things even when they are well over 100 million SP. |

Currently EvE has well over 300 skill, myself I have 270 of them and I still have alot of subcap training to do. Let alone capital ship/mod training.
Put it this way. In EvE there is 44 diffent skills alone to fly ships from all 4 races. To max them just on there own takes years.
Dust wont have any problems keeping us skilling for 10 years easily. |
