Something really needs to be done about this. It seems to be really bad right at the beginning of the match. Instead of teams spawning at different ends of the map both teams are all mixed together in different areas.
I spawn close to enemies regularly, and vise versa. There have been multiple occasions where I spawned within melee range! |

I've done it too, and had it done to me as well. It's a problem that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.
This is a major issue for me and it's only going to become more important as the game gets more players. Think about it, more people playing equals more spawn camping which will lead to people getting frustrated and quitting the game.
Dropping into the game with 100,000isk worth of gear on you and getting lit up before you can even take a single step is pretty annoying. |

Last night was playing Ambush and I spawned next to an enemy controlled supply depot with 4 guys standing around it. I was melted before I even had a chance to take a single step. |

just hitting X without thinking or merely selecting 'default' can lead to the same situation discussed here. you dont have to get right back into it either. let it cool down for 10 seconds. maybe the enemy will have moved away by then and you can drop in safely...
obviously, if your team mates are worth crap, you're dead no matter where you land ...
Nine times out of Ten when you're playing ambush default is your only option. The only only way to use a drop uplink is if someone on the team happens to drop on and it doesn't get taken out. |
