My guess is that as the games get larger this would be impractical, but I don't know.
Memory, storage and other resource issues aside, I do see where you're coming from, but I don't really like the idea, personally. If I get sniped, I call out the location of the shooter as best I can. If a buddy gets sniped, I try to locate the shooter, and if I do, I call his position out. I don't think we really need, or want, an automatic giveaway of where Snipey McSnipesalot likes to hide. Just find him in-game.
I don't know where the earlier poster got killcams from, but THAT strikes me as a truly awful idea. No killcams, please, not now, not SOON(tm), not ever.
Snipers ARE irritating. Me? We hates them, Precious. We hates them forever. But, they're part of the game, as are tanks, HMGs, shotguns, grenades . . .
In the infantry, they taught us to "adapt and overcome." Getting sniped a lot? Stick to cover and work on your situational awareness. Stay with your squad so your logi can fix up your armor or pick you up. Use the mike and let your squadmates (or better, teammates) know what you see, and where. |

No, no, no, my fault, sorry to be unclear. The latter part of my post was intended as response to P. CRAY at #2 up there. HE mentioned snipers. My mention of sniping in the first part should probably have had an "e.g." next to "sniped," or something. Might've been due to some sort of mental bleed-over from seeing that first response.
Maybe this is better? >> I do see where you're coming from, but I don't really like the idea, personally. If I get out-flanked, I'll call out the location of the guy as best I can. If the enemy just keeps swarming an objective or controlling an approach, I try to identify their routes and locate their uplinks, and if I do, I call that out. I don't think we really need, or want, an automatic giveaway of where some sniper likes to hang out, or what tactics some team likes to use. <<
I'm very happy for you and your K/D. I'm sure I've contributed to it in the past, and/or will do in the future. :-D
