I've been trying for over a week now to play this beta. I've downloaded it twice and am continuing getting a error. I've tried different times of the day. Is there no hope should I just delete it and forget about this beta. |

The error I keep getting is "You have been disconnected.The server is currently not available. Press OK to retry or use the PS button to quit game." |

There are several posts that you should search for related to Data Files. There is a stickied one near the top of this page.
They are "Unavailable" or "Corrupted". I have not experienced the problem so I am afraid I don't recall the solution. There are several levels of solution from what I recall.
Don't forget the server is down in ~one hour at 11:00 GMT.
Normally the downtime is thirty minutes finishing at 11:30 GMT but this one is extended until 12:00 GMT.
Those announcements are in the Announcement Forum which is at the highest level of these Forums, two up from here.

 Current GMT is 10:30 which is just thirty minutes short of down time.
I used to play this time of night all the time so the GMT shutdown has been etched into my brain. That and once you are running they prompt with shutdown notices beginning 30 minutes ago.
Edit: Also, look at the time you posted ... 10:01 and mine was 10:32. |

Is your client version 4.0?
Is internet connection enabled on your PS3? (It's on the settings tab on your XMB, used to bypass mandatory game updates)
If the server is unavailable, it could be daily maintenance (which according to you it isn't) or you could have a problem with your internet connection.
Try going through the motions of resetting your router, and making sure the internet settings on your PS3 are all correct.
Make sure you're signed in, and online, with your PSN account. |
