I have been wondering this since day 1. What's the point in spawning More then once every 2 minutes to die again lose ISK. (NOT SAYING I DO THIS) what earns you more ISK and why play skirmish if you can make the same amount in less time? |

Not sure if serious but I'll bite. More ammo, longer range more damage. Why not have an advantage over the enemy? |

None. The additional war points that you earn from using a GEK aren't worth the cost if you're looking from an economics perspective. The standard is the most cost-efficient option at the moment. |

Not when you know your losing money... if everyone uses good gear u get more money. For example i was in a match where most ppl were using advanced gear and i got 500k isk that game. if u see a lot of milita ppl u use cheap gear as well. all depends on what the enemy has. |

There's an undocumented statistic CCP keeps track of for each character: tears.
Using better gear gets you more tears. Tears can be converted into entertaining hate mail, which some players value above all else. |

I run the freebie suit + a gun and some modules. Mostly militia gear though. I'm definitely profiting when I do this as I can die up to 6-8 times and still make money. I'd generally say this system is pretty fair as you can base a loadout on a freebie suit and just replace a few items at cost. The freebie suits are themselves a pretty good fallback when you're broke, and with them it's pure profit.
Eventually you're gonna want to gain some of the advantages of better gear, either to push a close game to a win, or maybe blow your funding on a corporate war to ensure you're giving it your all where it counts. Seems like that is the purpose of full spec'd loadouts, not necessarily a "full time" loadout, but more of a choice for when you wanna play hard.
I typically start out with my more pricy loadout (only 20k ;p) but if I feel like it's a losing battle and everyone is getting spawn camped, I'll swap out to my freebie stuff and just run n gun. If the game gets close and I want an edge I'll pull out the cost loadout again.
I haven't participated in a corp battle yet, but when I do I intent to throw all considerations of profit aside and run full spec till my bank breaks if that's what it takes. I can play pubs with freebie gear to make it back.. |

I am glad to find a like minded individual when it comes to just running with the free dropsuits and earning pure profit. |

That's almost exactly what I do. I think the difference between the regular AR and the GEK is so minimal considering the costs. So I'll run with all cheap stuff to give me a little advantage over people using a pure millitia but if I die I only lose like 5k. And I'll call in my tank if my teem is winning and just get bored XD |

the isk I make is very little depended on performance, regardless of how well I do it seems always close to 200k for one skimersish match.
could be
7-0
2-5
etc...
It fluctuates but more so close to 200, usually just under. |

Same here. Why waste the isk on better guns if you get paid the same?? |
