If I can flank them, you can. As someone who uses a LR all the time, I get flanked a lot. You putting the players inability to do something on the game. Which isn't constructive. |

It has skyrocketed since the open beta. All the snipers and newberries who stand still while shooting has benefited me. Even if kill death ratio is meaningless, to me.
I think my kill death ratio is around 4.2. Before the open beta it was always around 2 to 3. There are, many, many players using an AR that have considerably higher k/d than me. |

It isn't even just LR users. People, in general, are having an easy time against new players. I just went 15 and 0 with an AR. And there's a video of someone going 31 and 0 with a shotgun. But, let's talk about laser rifles.

What we can deduce here is a player is putting their inability to play properly as an issue with the game. Which is all kinds of amusing and getting angry at others. Which... is beautiful. My own corp members, like Beld, can flank me, beat me and make me run, even when I'm using a laser. Is he OP? No. Beld is a good player. Knows what to do and how to aim.
Same with the members from Imperfects, Zion and many, many other players. There are too many to list. TOO many. Because they don't stand in the open and expect to be invincible. You also talk about LR being super effective against a sniper. Any weapon is super effective against a sniper. They have to be stationary. And use scout suits. Which make them squishy as hell.
This topic should be locked. It's going nowhere. Since it isn't an issue about imbalance in the game as much as it is the players inability to play. Which will change over time. |
