First, this was not my idea, this was someones idea in my corp, I forget your name sorry but I have not seen him post it yet, so don't credit me credit... The Exemplars with this idea.
So We were playing a match and got talking about salvage and how we all have stuff we don't use, a little while later we got talking about donating and someone came up with the idea that we should be able to share or donate salvage to our Corps. I mean right now I have 5 Prometheus dropships that I'm never going to use, but maybe someone in the corp uses them and would like them, than I could just donate it to the corp and anyone in the corp could grab them.
Of course that idea would be bad if put in wrong, here are some ideas that I came up with my self, (again all credit goes to... who ever said the idea first lol)
You have to have donated a certain amount ISK or salvage before you can claim any. Why? otherwise you might just have people that join the corp than take everything and leave. Also than in bigger corps you don't have the big guys giving great stuff and the little guys taking it all and not giving anything back.
that brings me to my next point, maybe it could be set up in teirs, though I'd hate to do that it would only be fair so that you don't give 20 maltita assault rifles and take 30 forge guns. The tiers could be made from price of items all together, so in order to have access to the top tier gear you would have to donate like 100K worth of ISK maybe, I don't know. I'm just trying to think of stuff to stop people from abusing it.
The problems: Yes this system would have flaws all over the place.
What's stopping people from just buying a bunch of stuff and selling it?
Answer: Only salvage could be donated to the Corp. Stuff you buy cannot be.
How do you make it so people don't take to much?
I don't know the answer to that question. I mean I'd think in smaller corps of like 20 people could be kept in check much easier but in the big, big ones it would be very hard. Maybe have a log of what people took...
Again not my idea only, other members of The Exemplars helped with it, mostly came up with it. What do you guys think? would this idea work? if so let the CCP see it! |
