I was curious if a drop ship is destroyed while delivering a tank. Why do I still lose it? |

Guy got out of his tank to lay down an orbital bombardment
by the time he was done laying it, I was driving his tank away a good 100 meters away from him
i eventually turned around and gave his tank back to him because i'm not that kind of guy, but it was worth a good laugh. |

You have a point, I agree, it adds a little realism to the game but at the same time makes it less fun. For me, it's Fun > Realism So I can't support this even though it is a good idea.
Just to help you out here a little bit, that lambo example is very much void and incorrect. You made the example based on the fact that you already know how to drive, If you never took a driving lesson or gotten your license you couldn't steal it and drive off now could you, at least not effectively anyway.
Let's make it something not so basic, if a XB-70 Valkyrie fighter jet was left unoccupied on the field what soldier would run to try and Hi-jack it when he has never seen a day in a jet before, let alone go through the extensive training needed to fly one. This all all applies to the OP's post.

Comparing a tank to an expensive car is ridiculous.
You should compare it to a real modern tank. If you got in, you probably wouldn't even figure out how to turn on the ignition, let alone operate the main barrel.
This should really be like EvE (it is one Universe after all). No skills, can't use. Partial skills, partial use.
There should still be an option to do "something" if you got close to an enemy empty tank. Maybe hack/sabotage it to blow up when someone enters it |

Why? did zitro lose his tank to a situation like this. Is he raging about it in corp chat?
Because that would be funny. |
