Companies have made huge comebacks before.I really like SONYs products so i would hate to see it go.Anyone think the "One Sony Plan" will work.U know basically focusing all there resources on gaming and electronics and leave the rest behind.I have heard sony is starting to begin its comeback with a ipad competitor, new phone,a few exclusive games, etc. I hope PS4 wil help out sony. Not just sony but i heard Microsoft is strarting to lose money to with 21.76 billion down in operating income and around 16 billion in net income.I really hope 2013 wont be a ugly year. |

most of sony's "losses" is due to the loss of tax credits. also it's in yen not $.
Sony will easily make a come back, the ps3 has now outsold the 360, and next gen on the horizon a good chance of outselling the next xbox considerably, most 360 owners are pissed at MS for the lack of exclusives and the cost of gold membership now. unless sony does something stupid their next console will be great for them. |

^^And this is talkign US or at least area specific. Sony has never been in question in Japan. XBOX couldn't get a foot hold in Japan if they bribed Sony to stop selling the consoles for a year. XBOX is an American thing. . . that's all it has, but we are a large mass consumer and alot of xbox users are dumb in willing to buy a second and third one when they went **** up instead of holding MS responsible. Sony willingly took the losses in the console areas to match price competition but knwe the reward to get off the ground would be worth it. They are fine in enough areas as a Corp. to handle the investment. MS has it's own problems and pretty much needs XBOX for revenue to perhaps handle some of it's other debacles.
iPad competitor? only if you define competitor because really it's iPad and everyone else competing for the defiant 3% of the market Apple isn't reaching. It's like saying there is an iPod competitor, no just other options. But yes phones will be a HUGE threat and smart tv's with downloadable apps/games retro gaming built in or accesable from clouds. . . big threats to survivability to younger generations. The future looks crazy yet all merging into one at the same time. Gunna be little room at the top. |
