No, there are many different drop suits that can be purchased using the in game ISK currency, in fact, most of the better ones (including prototypes) can be purchased, and you will find that most everything you can use purchased via AUR (Real Life currency in game) have equivelants that can be earned through skill rankings. So if you're up for upgrading your suit / skills, you can aquire the equivelant of most anything you can purchase via AUR. The CCP team took forth a LOT of effort to ensure this game did not become a "Pay To Win" title. anything purchased by AUR has an ISK equivelant stat wise that can be unlocked or purchased, keeping the balance of the wealthy players and the GOOD players in check |

Yes, you do, but it's not so bad. I get 200,000 ISK per match, so I still make money even with a type 2 heavy suit on. You will need to buy a skillbook for whatever suit you choose and put SP into it in order to wear the better quality ones. |

The dropsuits purchased with ISK are like anything else you purchase with ISK. You can buy one and run it, but once you die you need to restock the dropsuit before you can run it for another life. |
