I read all the weekly [BUG] reports that Cmdr Wang posts and haven't seen a mention of how inaccurate the rocket and railgun turrets are especially when on moving vehicles.
Have the Devs said anything bout it? I might've missed it or so. |

how about ilogical, a big ass turret gun should kill any merc in 1 shot the game needs way more death, and fast respawn, balanced of course, so reward would have to increase |

I was talking about small turrets. large turrets are pretty much perfect right now. |

That would be the displacement they added last build after missile turrets became ridiculously OP - the nerf was far far too large though.
The idea is that it's supposed to be much harder to aim from a moving vehicles and missiles are supposed to be area of effect, not pin-point accuracy. But they also nerfed damage and splash significantly, so they're no longer AOE or pin-point.
This is the first I've heard of small railguns being inaccurate though... |

I think i have a total of like 30 kills with small turrets. I can pelt a guy with one an no damage done to him.
It seems since the latest patch the rockets are somewhat better. Still useless imo, even the emplacement ones dont do anything. |

At least with the militia version of the missile launcher, you have to score a headshot to do any damage. Small blasters suck too, it's much faster to just jump off and AR the target. |

Yeah, I know CCP wants rockets to be inaccurate but have you actually used a rocket launcher lately, you aim at one person and the missile flys too far right or left for them to even know it was a threat. Then you try and adjust and the rocket flys too far the other way. It's nearly by luck to fire some what straight.
P.S. I was recently in a tank with a rocket and railgun turret and after finding out how how inaccurate the rockets were I decide to test the railgun at a wall and noticed the railgun had the same problem. I couldn't even hit the person who ran right in front of me. |

If the vehicle is moving, it is harder to aim. This inaccuracy on the launchers at least is even while sitting still. Not noticed anything with Rails though. The launcher is bad; it literally sights in, then you fire and the missiles launch way out of your target area. They land something like 10-20 feet to the right of your crosshairs target when sitting still.
It's random.
Also, if you actually try to track a target with a turret and fire on it while a vehicle is in motion it is going to be difficult. I think most people just aim ahead of the target then fire as it passes in front of the sights.
i.e: Just leave it alone. Don't f up the game with some stupid mechanic that makes people second guess and try to calculate what freakin loop the game is going to throw at them next. slow down the tracking if you like, but leave what I see alone. |

Small Rail Guns are accurate in my experience. I equip them on LAVs for sniping. A head shot is really rewarding personally.
But from a moving LAV, HAV or DS it is a different story. Very difficult and they do not have much splash damage so a kill from a moving platform should be worshiped as nearly miraculous.
Small Missile Turrets are mostly broken and/or junk. There are a few that profess that they are not but I have yet to see actual evidence of success with them except for one individuals unverified claims on these boards. Who knows, maybe they are that much better than us all. However, they used to work and now the missiles leave at odd offsets and in arbitrary directions so they are not useful.
Either use Small Blaster Turrets for infantry or the SRG for sniping. If the SRG would charge and release fire like a Charge Sniper Rifle I would easily double my kills with it. |

this is what i mean, why does a hand held weapon kill someone faster then any gun mounted weapon, even the crap ones. and then why gun i mount a AR to a vehicle? |

I've noticed this a lot more since the last download. I'll have the "white dot" on someone with the main blaster weapon in my tank, yet it will shoot above their head or into the ground. Same thing with the partial traingle from the rail gun.
It seems the sights don't work real well. |
