Hi,
I have just signed onto my Hong Kong Playstation Network account and if you are Playstation Plus in HK the Blast Back is Free. This includes a number of items ... but most important ....
"The DUST514-« Blast Pack grants a 7-day skill booster (+50%) "
And you can buy as many as you want for free once you have subscribed to a HK$38 ( $5 US or 3.5 Euro ) 30 day Plus Subscription.
How is this fair if we are all playing the same game can one region get Boosters for so much cheaper , and get as many as they want ? Just get the pack 50 times and keep plugging in the boosters every 7 days. |

Teamwork that HK players get 50% more skill points for. |

Its no small disadvantage.
Very true .... its just not a level playing field when some players can earn much more Skill Points for one small one off payment.

Not as bad but .... the UK store has the merc pack for -ú8 ( US$ 12.5 or 9.2 Euro ) that includes 40,000 AUR and Booster. At least its not free so you can't get loads of them but it is different than other regions again. |

HowDidThatTaste wrote:So the real question is how can we buy those here.
If we set up a new own account with the default location to china would this allow us to log into it?
No .. I have tried it :) If you create a HK account then you have to download a different Dust Client that will create you a HK Dust Character which you can then use the boosters on ... its a new character.
( There is no PS3 or Playstation Network setup in Mainland China ) |

HowDidThatTaste wrote:Granted its a new character but in time you could be able to sell its content to your main.
So you were able to create a new character and shop the HK store? By changing the default location to HK.
Interesting so you could conceivably purchase them and at a later date sell them to your main.
Yes I have done it My PS3 has a number of accounts and versions of DUST You just need to Choose a different country and have a different email when you setup the account.
( You can only play one character at a time though .. obviously ... its not like EvE where you can have multiple windows open ) |

I guess I would have to download the full client again. Also can you confirm that you can buy multiples packs? It says PS plus is hk $38 if I use an American PS card does it convert it ?
You have to Buy a HK$ Card to charge it up it will not convert from a different region. I can buy multiple Merc Packs where I have Money in UK , this I have done , but I am trying to buy a HK$ card so not signed up to HK Plus account yet.
Logon with your USA account ( if it is USA you are from ) Highlight your current Dust Client , hit Triangle and Bring Up Information Change the Album to Beta USA ( if it is USA client ) Then sign on with your new HK account Go to the store and download Dust 514 from the HK store Once installed bring up information and change Album to Beta HK
This way the two clients will not overwrite conflict e.t.c and you can sort by Album ( Square Key ) to view easily.
WARNING : If you start the wrong client under the wrong account it gives you messages telling you that some function will not work , also if an update happens when you are in the wrong client it corrupts that client. It must then be deleted and re-installed. |

Wierd I live in Shanghai and can get Xbox and Nintendo consoles and connectivity to a Chinese system for those devices however the PS3 has to be imported from Hong Kong and there is no China option for the account.
