this happens extremely often when i visit my skills page, it boots me to the opening title screen (before i can choose characters) and it's SUPER annoying when i'm in a squad since it boots me from the squad
does it have to do with ports, or my router?
EDIT; it will occasionally say "unable to connect to playstation network" upon attempting to reconnect, after which i need to reset my PS3 in order for it to connect again |

Try testing with an Ethernet cable, see if that resolves anything.
You could also try updating the router's firmware (or rolling back if it supports it) |

i seem to have resolved the issue by putting the router into a DMZ. of course i assume it's basically impossible to compromise a home router if a ps3 is set into a dmz in front of it, since it's such an alien piece of hardware
edit; i put the ps3 into a dmz, not the router itself |

I've been getting this a lot lately where before it never happened. Not sure if it's something wrong on my end since my connection with PSN stays great, just keep getting disconnected from Dust servers at the most inopportune times. |

NEVER FRIGGIN MIND
the problems are starting again, even though the ps3 is on a DMZ, which means it should have ABSOLUTELY NO obstruction to the interwebs, no port bullshit, nothing
and yet i'm STILL getting "disconnected because of an internal error" |

from https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=492828#post492828 " We've found that if there's a problem with the internet connection during the data update, it can in some cases be shown as a data corruption error rather than a connection error. If you think your internet connection is not 100%, please try logging in again once or twice before resorting to a re-install. It should save you some time in most cases. " |
