As an infantry Light weapon, this thing is absolutely beyond OP. Mobility and High damage output is far too much. I can take more from a straight on GEK than any range from an LR. These things don't even give you the chance to fight back, and it doesn't matter what armor/shields you have by all appearances.
Move them to a Heavy Weapon, usable only by Heavy suits, period. Their range and power is more suitable to this. I hit an Assault with on today and after ducking into cover he popped out an laced me, insta-killing me. Every time I've encountered one today, I've been cut to pieces in nanoseconds by it.
Bloody ridiculous considering they can run around willy nilly at max speed. Literally, next to a tank 80GJ turret, I would consider it the most powerful weapon in the game, and far more mobile. |

I disagree if anything the laser rifle is underpowered. The standard one at least. I'm pretty accurate and I get more assists than kills. In your case u probably got hit with a viziam laser rifle which is proto. it will melt all standard suits which I am assuming you were using.
With regards to making it a heavy weapon. No. Just no.

kinda pointless to have a LR if you can't keep it on target. i've seen this used many times and almost everytime they fail to kill the target. LR is a Long Range presision weapon that sacrafices pure raw stoping power for a weapon that can hold it's own in Medium range encounters. Short range is it's bane, just get in to at LEAST 20 meters and watch them drop. i've NEVER had a problem with LR. |

Trust me, they don't need to hit you all the time, 10% will do, and it is all these needed. |
