I found out in another thread that someone else has this happen to them: they survive and walk away from firefights with literally zero shields and armor left. It happens to me once or twice a session in my Firefly. It takes much longer than normally for my shields to start recharging when this happens - as you know Scout suit shields normally start recharging within a few seconds, but it takes 10+ when I run my suit to the ground like this. I don't use any armor or shield mods.
It's possible that I'm super lucky and have like 0.0001 points of armor left every time and the UI reports it as zero. Or perhaps there are a few points of buffer between zero shields and armor, and before you actually die. In either case, the UI needs fixing.
Or there is a genuine bug. |

I believe there is a hidden health bar that you have to go through after losing shields and armor - kind of like other FPSs have a recovery period after you take enough damage, or die if you take another hit.
I like to call living through this "skull tanking".
(Eve players will get the joke). |

Either there is one point of skin tanking or its a rounding display issue. I've survived with no armor or shield left, that was visible, on several occasions. |

this is not a bug. you survived by the skin of your teeth. if someone were to even breath on you at that point, you would die. your shield will recharge with 0 armor. remember, shield and armor are not "health". they are protection. zeros for both mean they are both gone, and you are basically naked. next hit kills. we all normally don't see this because we are hit repeatedly through this threshold and die. rare cases happen where you do survive despite losing your protection. |

Maybe the Devs could fix your bug by making sure you die instead of living through it?
@cranium79 had it spot on, you are essentially naked but alive. Count your blessing and avoid the next bullet for at least 10 seconds. |
