Spend isk as you need it and use sp on whatever skill you want to lv up, so you are going to have to save it at points |

There's a discussion about it somewhere else, but imo you should make a few alt psns just for passive XP on them. It'll let you do different things with your character too (ie have one go vehicles only and another infantry).
I'd spend the SP on at least one guy. It's more fun that way. ISK doesn't seem to be a problem. You should make far more than you spend. If you find that you're going ISK negative, use less expensive gear until you are better and can afford to use better gear without dieing so much.
You should make ISK in every match. Save and spend it on corp battles, but with most of them you might not even lose any suits/vehicles in them anyways @.@ |

Back on topic: I suggest spending (and saving) as much ISK as you think would improve your enjoyment of the game.
As for SP: I recommend saving them (or to spend the first ones in core skills like Weaponry, Field Mechanics, Shield Control, etc. - those skills that will help you regardless of your later choices) until you know how you want to play the game. You should be able to try most weapons in their militia versions. If there is no militia version of a certain weapon you can just drop a few ISK and SP for the skills to use the most basic variant of it. |
