They're just working names. These maps are designed to test a number of systems within dust. Soon(tm), they will be generated dynamically based on the district you're fighting in. If you've got 45 minutes and are curious as to how this will work, check out this video: Seeding the universe |

While I would agree that some type of reference would be helpful. Being that it's only (currently) one of the four map being played on, it's coming to be known as the "three point map". Personally, I am willing to give this a pass (for now) mainly because of the 'learning curve' of developing your character. Having skills to develop over time to augment your playing skills is the main reason I am becoming a HUGE FAN of this game. So much so that I haven't played any other FPS since being introduced to Dust514. The crew that I used to run with in other FPS's (such as the CoD series, for example) can't understand why. I feel like it's their loss, for refusing to go outside of their 'comfort zone' with regards to trying anything new. I'll keep trying to relay the message, but honestly. Unless and until they at least try this game, I will regard those individuals as being 'dinosaurs' of the FPS era. |
