A sniper shouldnt be able to remain scoped in and land headshot on you when you are dumping a mag into them. Either kick them out of scoped view or make their aiming terribad when hit. |

You might want to edit that post. I think you mean they "shouldn't be able to stay within their scope."
Bu ultimately I kind of agree with you....sort of. There should be some kind of reaction to the dozens of rounds smashing into their shields and/or armor. But nothing as extreme as forcing them out of their scope. Maybe greatly reducing their stability and causing the sniper rifle to sway a lot more. |

I disagree with the OP.
Probably will make my own thread in regards to how to deal with snipers. I will say they are broken. |

I don't think taking them out of the scope is a good solution, but I do agree that it should take their aim off slightly (although this should happen with all weapons). If you take them out of the scope, then sniping would be nearly impossible when engaged in battle, but by adding some "damage recoil" they'll still be able to kill, just at a fair (at least I think) disadvantage. |

Your idea will not work because it would have to be done for all classes and weapons which would cause more whining than there already is.
If you want a snipers view to be screwed up when you shoot them bring a mass driver or simply move. The closer you get to a scoped in sniper that harder it is for them to hit you as you move out of the scope view far quicker. You either ran into a good up close sniper or he got lucky.
Why you're getting close to a sniper is beyond me though - any competent sniper can counter snipe easier than you can get to them.
thesupertman don't stand still, don't run in a straight line, don't jump, use cover, learn where the usual sniper perches are and stay out of the open. Invest some SP in Field Mechanics and the passive shield skill that increases your overall shields(can't remember what the name is). With this knowledge you can avoid being killed by most snipers and if you so desire you can kill them yourself. |

Not needed IMO. I have no problems killing snipers at close range with the DPS of a militia or standard AR. Sometimes they manage to snipe me at close range while I'm shooting them before I can deliver the finishing blow, but that's usually a failure on my part for not evading enough. |

What, you mean snipers couldnt just sit out in the open and drop down and pop off a few shots to instantly kill anyone? |

The problem is when unloading (with HMG) on snipers who run around in the open, they drop down and scope up and get a few quick shots off, killing me in the process when they get away. Its stupid that a sniper can go toe to toe with a heavy in the open and get away. |

Not sure how to say this but hip firing with a Sniper rifle is pretty sweet way to take anyone out close range. One shot gives you the general location of the shot and two more rounds will kill almost anybody.
For me the Charged version isn't very good at this. Although I have danced around long enough for the circle to complete, used that as a cross hair and took the surprised Merc down. A Tactical Sniper rifle is much easier to use for hip firing the Reds down.
That gives me an idea for a post. |
