I've heard enough of it, hopefully this will be the last time this needs to be explained...
To all the obvious noobs saying they hope it goes to PC, or they can't wait until it's on PC, or "I wonder when they will port this to PC", it's not gonna happen.

They could NOT have made that more clear. Their are SOOO many threads here in these forums explaining this, why can't any of you scrubby little newberries figure out how the search function works?
Anyway, use your brain meats. If they had any intention of putting it on PC, why would they not have done that first since it would have been so much easier to link to Eve? Why would they have gone through the effort to set it up so PC players could use a KB/M on ps3 with it? Why would they have tried to market it to different console companies when a proper PC can play any PC game? BECAUSE IT'S NEVER GONNA GO TO PC.
PC elitists will have to accept this fact, Dust is now and forever going to be a Playstation only release unless Microsoft get's it's head out of it's *ss and beg's to be let in on the deal (X-Box could have been in on it, but they refused because they had to have things set up their way or no way at all).
CCP may eventually come out with more games that link into EVE/DUST for other consoles or the PC, but DUST is here to stay folks. Learn how to use the ds3 while you can, because the population around here is only gonna grow and the KB/M sucks.

No they said a PC version wasn't coming now but wasn't out of the question. You're a fool. You wrote all that for nothing.
Also dust works with mouse and keyboard. So people don't have to get used to using a controller. Dust has a ten year plan, it's going to be on ps3, ps4 and then someday in like 5-6 years, PC.
in 5-6 years they don't know what the climate will be. Consoles might not have another life cycle as steam releases a PC console and in 6 years time any old 200$ PC might be enough to play any game you can throw at it.
Untill Dust could run on a 200$ PC it will stay console bound. But don't underesitimate the changing climate in my industy, and how even 6 years ago games being on both PC and console was a thought that would make people like you laugh. Now most games are released on both PC and console. |
