SOON Dust WILL LOOK better then this game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp9H2Rc6xAA CCP Eterne Said CCP has always prided itself on keeping up with the current abilities of our platforms to maintain visual quality. We've upgraded the EVE graphics regularly and I am fairly certain DUST will be no different.

I don't think "soon" is the right word. Sure, they can optimize it again and again and props to them for it, but at the end of the day, the PS3 is six-year-old hardware.
I'm anticipating the graphics update but I don't think it'll be that dramatic. |

What do you mean soon, it defiantly looks better than planetside2 that is not a contest. But planetside has a persistant mmo aspect for the game world, and this game so far is all set matches done in halo style, with of course a 'red zone'

It's likely that the PS4 client will get a pretty mondo graphical overhaul, but I wouldn't hold my breath for too much improvement on the PS3; it's just a really old piece of hardware. |

Six is a little generous given console hardware is already dated by the time it hits the market.
There's also Unreal Engine... Its convenient, portable, and easy to use, but it doesn't handle texture loading very well. The only games I've ever seen that didn't have that problem which utilized Unreal Engine 3 was... Unreal Tournament 3 and Dishonored. There have been a lot of games in between and Dust 514 so far has gotten it worse than any other I've ever played that used this engine. Personally, I don't think we should worry about graphics at all until the sound is fixed.
Its a good beta, OP, but don't go overboard. There's still quite a bit that needs to be done. |
