Hi guys,
I suspect I know the answer but wanted to check before I put my isk on the table.
If I take a merc contract does my corp have to supply the full 16 Merced for my team or will the contract also be acceptable by other corps to fill out the numbers?
Or will we have to play the match with however many we can bring?

I took and fought a corp battle by myself, just to see what would happen.
Needless to say, I lost, but my opponent only fielded six mercs.
I admire CCP's continued commitment to allowing situations which appear unfair in order to promote emergent gameplay. For example, if I had been able to take out one my opponent's dropship or a tank, they would have lost more than the 1,000,000 isk I put up for collateral, and the contract would have been a net loss for them. As it was, I was hunted like a wounded wildebeast by a dropship and each of the Null cannons had a guard on it, meaning the match was over pretty quickly.
What I'd like to see next in the corp battles is the ability to invite other corporations to join you in a contract. This would allow small specialist corps to sell their skills and talents to the highest bidder in exchange for a cut of the profits. |

You can kind of do this you just have to have the other Corp guys in your Squad.
so with corp battles atm still only 8v8 you would only have to have 1 other corp member on and if you both start squads you could fill the other 3 spots with anyone you wanted and take them in your corp battle.

So if I understand this correctly:
Merc contracts are 8v8 max with however many are in your/there squad taken into the match? |
