I learnt this today in physics the symbol for gold on the periodic table is Au, which is wierd cuz Au has nothing to with Gold, it turns out that the latin word for gold is Aurum which basically means that when we buy Aurum we are buying gold like this so everyone can see how clever i am |

Yes, we know.
Thank you for sharing though.
I'll write a note to your physics teacher and maybe you'll get a bonus credit.
Incidentally, Aurum is also the name of a shop in iceland that sells expensive designer jewellery. |

How did you manage to get into a more specialized science class without learning anything about the periodic table in some earlier, general science class? |

Oh dear Kitten... *facepalm*
Yes, CCP does lots of little clever things like that.
Tritanium, the fictional metal used for basic ship construction in EVE was also used for the same purpose on Star Trek:

Tritanium is also a play on Titanium, an element. The dominant ore mined for Tritanium is Veldspar, a play on "feldspar", a type of rock.
Their games are full of this kind of stuff. Just sayin'.

I think it's awesome he actually told us this, most of these things fly right over people's heads. I don't know how long I thought "Ragnarok" was an original made up word in the final fantasy series |
