I have Talked With a Few People And no One Knows I didnt see it on the forums so i wanted to ask To see if i could get a Positive Answer .... When The game is Finally Released Will there be another Reset Of All Skills And Money Or Will The game Just Transfer Over. If A Dev member Could Respond That Would Be Great Thanks.  |

Hi,
Not a DEV, just an OCD poster.
Unlikely (CCP say) but not ruled out.
However.
The longer this open beta goes on though I would put the odds of a gimp, or lite-wipe shorter and shorter to avoid new payers being crushed by Satan's own army. The experience lead is already huge enough.
I don't think we're close to getting out of beta and if the masses are repeatedly bent over while trying to work out menus once we do then - yeah we'll. |

Ok thanks You Guys Its Just If There is Going TO be Another Reset im Just guna wait again For it cause i dont want to put so much Time again to have to restart it all over again. not that all the Prices for the Aur stuff has gone up as well. but yea i do love the game. |

there are no more resets. the last one was 12 days before open beta. confirmed by CCP. |

No more resets short of something truly catastrophic happening. IE CCP reserves the right to wipe but won't unless absolutely necessary. |

That quote comes with a clear caveat. It can NEVER be ruled out based on "unforeseen circumstances" e.g. The beta over running by six months. |

Why would the beta going for 6 months change anything at all? It's open beta, anyone can join so if someone waits until later bad luck, they had their chance to get in early. |

As already stated by CCP Cmdr Wang in the linked post, the expectation and plan is that there will not be another reset. That being said, we can't positively rule out that one won't happen, but it's definitely not what we want to do and it would take extreme circumstances for it to happen. |

We will be so busy killing NPC drones, fighting contracted battles and other un mentioned wars. Quick match wont even matter as much as it does.
They will die repeatedly as i will make it a point to make my guy the most bad a** assault possible by grinding so hard and making you people with steady jobs jelly. College life ftw. |

So you think it would be good for business to annoy a lot of the hardcore veteran players by wiping them for no reason, as nothing catastrophic happened? You have to remember that casual players won't be spending as much money on this game because they have no reason to. |

Well I hope there won't be another reset as those of us who purchased all the bpo's and aurum variant dropsuits (carbon, firebrand etc) before the aurum increase last week (for bpo's) or being removed from market (aurum variant dropsuits) for the sole purpose of selling them on the player market when it's implemented.....will lose said items. |

Changing the new terms does not clarify if we are in commercial release or not. There is no reason not to be direct about this. |

I think "extreme circumstances" would be something like a major bug that screws up all our characters in such a way that CCP can't recover, or a catastrophic database crash along with a discovery that the backups are corrupt.
As far as "unfair" advantages for older characters goes, that is built into the game design. We can have the debate (again) about whether people like it, and whether it is the "FPS" way of doing things but it won't change anything. CPP have discovered (with Eve) that new players will accept and overcome that hurdle, and that it makes them more loyal in the long run. |

Imo when the finished game is released it only makes sense to reset everybodies stats etc otherwise it would be totally unfair just because we are playing this beta shouldn't give us a advantage over the players whom are going to buy the game without playing this tester. |

Dust will not be "fair" to new players in the way you are thinking. It may find provide easier content for them, but it won't attempt to level the playing field between newer and older players.
Also, no-one is going to buy the game. It is F2P. They may buy boosters or Aurum, but we can do that right now. |

We are currently in an Open Beta release, but the current plan is to maintain things once we go into our full release with no reset. The merge with Tranquility is the planned last reset ever. |

It is widely advertised as such, so if people choose not to play now, it is their own fault.
so another wipe would serve no purpose, unless it were to fix some kind of critical data corruption or something else equally bad. otherwise CCP can handle issues with ISK, AUR, even skill points as they see fit, but don't expect them to take action out of pity or fairness. |

Game is not finished, unlike most console betas, beta=/=demo Parts of game are still being coded and designed by the devs with our feedback being considered. This is much better then a demo, It's alive and evolving. Someday CCP may reveal dust is really skynet and feed us to the rogue drones, but till then it's a great game. |

I don't think this should be confused with "the skill library is finished" or "we have all the SP mechanics perfectly tuned." In Eve, parts of skill trees and SP in them have been reset. |
