given that we seem to have a lot of new blood that does not really know whats it doing i figured a community help thread for the all basic stuff in the game would be useful.
so in short, ask your question here and either myself or a random vet will try and help. plz keep the trolling to a minimum the plan is use this as a reference point for new players to get the basics out the way.
i will be making a rookie help channel the moment the game lets me make a channel.

first things.
O is to hack the objective
and it takes around half-full clip to kill anybody in this game so start learning to use cover for real.
DONT STAND STILL.
do not under any conditions stand in the middle of the road.
move in groups, soloing is the fastest way to die.
when you die wast it least 5 seconds as your spawn timer will then wait 3 seconds rather than 8 and will give another player a chance to revive you. |

Don't forget never, ever let a heavy get behind you. You wouldn't believe the damage a heavy can do with 10 seconds unobstructed fire. A decent heavy will put down at least half your squad if not more. |

heh generally when fighting heavys, either A backpeddel or move side to side or just point blank run to your out of LOS and then try and setup an ambush with nades or a flanking action
NEVER RUN AT HEAVY HEAD ON EVER EVEN WITH A SHOTGUN JUST DON'T DO IT.
i heavy's job in this game is get into your face and chew you up, the best way to counter a heavy is to flank him or stay outside his effective range and use hit and run methods to grind him down. if you go round a conour and see a heavy RUN, dont try and stand and fight YOU WILL LOSE every-time |

When flying a viper L1 is up, R1 is down. Use your left thumb stick forward and back ONLY, use the right for steering left and right. I say this because if you jump in a viper for the first time and you use that left thumb stick to fly from left to right then youGÇÖre in for a ride of your life. Stick to the easy method then work on maneuver combos later!!
Also, be ready to spend alot of money to get good at flying. Practice makes perfect!! |
